Advantages Fantastic cleaner, brings carpets up well
Disadvantages Bit heavy to manouevre, the price

We hadn’t long brought a new cylinder Vax vacuum cleaner which seemed pretty decent. I hadn’t long vacuumed up when my partner turned up with a Dyson DC27 Animal vacuum. He had seen it on offer and not being one to resist a bargain, he purchased it for us even though we hadn’t long had a new vacuum. As said, I had only just vacuumed the house with my old vacuum but had to give my new Dyson a go, after it was assembled of course. Advantages Use on all surfaces, Great at picking up dust
Disadvantages Slightly on the heavy side

I haven been through many vacuum in the past, and have never found one that I was completely comfortable with and that was great at picking up hairs from my dog. . I know a hoover is primarily only meant for cleaning, but it is important to get one that you are comfortable with, as especially if you live in a messy home like myself, the hoover is used on a weekly basis, if not more often. The main aspect I use to judge a hoover, is not on the price, but on the performance in one hoover. Advantages Good solid model that can be used on various surfaces.
Disadvantages A bit pricey

I knew that having a pet was going to cause problems around the house but was not aware how much fur there would be. For years we struggled on with an ordinary Dyson but in the end gave up and got one that could deal with pet hair. The first thing I was pleased about was how easy it was to put together and I managed to use it right away. It not only got rid of all the cat hair, but also seemed to pick up a lot more dirt than the other machine I had been using. I have a new vacuum and I love it!!!!! I am a pet owner and cat breeder so the obvious choice for me was to get a 'pet specific' vacuum. I have had ones in the past but find that they do not cope well with the short barbed hairs of my Dalmatian. So with a bit of trepidation I coughed up the enormous price tag attached to this vacuum with the hope it would work. I unpacked the vacuum and was please to find it mostly together already. Our DC27 is the second Dyson we’ve owned, the previous one (nearly 20 years old!) is still going strong but was getting scruffy and has been banished to the garage for cleaning out the car and extracting sawdust from my power tools. I was immediately impressed by the increase in suction compared with previous models I’d tried – and the design was altogether more ‘refined’ – smother curves, less ‘blocky’ – seemed an altogether much better produced product. Oh my goodness how glad am I to have such a decent vacuum cleaner?! My little girl and husband between them manage to make so much mess that I find myself using this Dyson at least once a day and it's great because it works really well! Before having a Dyson I had an 'old fashioned' hoover with a bag and it was heavy, cumbersome and not very efficient so when I bought my first Dyson I was really impressed! Advantages Many new technologies making it easy to steer, lightweight and great at removing pet hair

This is the latest in a long line of hoovers after my last one got damaged. I did quite a bit of research as I needed one which would be reliable and last me a long time and came across this one. It cost me £260 on amazon which is expensive but so far it has been well worth it. Packaging When the hoover came it was packed securely along with some extra gadgets including a combination tool, a mini turbine head as well as the instructions manual and a separate quick start guide. My Mom has her own cleaning company and I have been going on jobs with her for a minimum of 2 hours per week for about 7 years. Therefore, I have been able to test a variety of different vacuum cleaners and can make experienced comparisons between many different models. Advantages Versatile, No need to drag vacuum up the stairs, good for removing pet hair.
Disadvantages Can be complicated when you fisrt use

Well, what can I say... I have been using a cylinder cleaner for many years. Thinking that this was the best for up and down stairs and for ease of use. Then my husband got me a Dyson DC24 Animal. On first use this made our carpets look like new, you would have thought I had never vacuumed before. However getting round to using it the first time was a challenge. You really need to read the instructions to work out what all the parts do, and I have found mine a little stiff when trying to use some of the functions. Advantages picks up well, can get into the hard to reach places, good design

I purchased this hoover because we had the previous Dyson Animal and it was very useful and i loved it. This is a very good hoover for picking up dog/cat hairs and all the other dirt that gets into your carpet. you can see the hairs and dirt being picked up from within the chamber, i think this isa very good design because you can see the dirt being picked up and you know the hoover is doing a good job. I think it is light and easy to push around. The handle comes off and acts as a nozzle, this is very handy for getting into them hard to reach places.
