Advantages: Funky looking, powerful, and suitable for all floor types Disadvantages: Do you really want to be looking at all the dust you've picked up off your floor?
...ages, using my old upright Dyson to do my carpeted rooms, then using my little cylinder cleaner to clean the laminate floors in my other rooms, and it was becoming madness. So, after doing a bit of research, I found this model...
Ok, so the rotating brush on the upright cleaner is what makes them so efficient at picking up the dust from carpets, but it is this rotating brush which makes the upright unsuitable for hard floors. If the brush picks ... ...This is where the Dyson DC08 comes in. It has the turbo brush, which makes it excellent on carpets, and also an interchangeable hard floor attachment, which amazingly adjusts with the level of your floor so as not to lose suction (you'd have to see the way this works to understand what I mean). Even if you're tipping the tube backwards to reach under your settee, the hard floor attachment won't tip backwards - it will maintain contact with the floor ...

Advantages: nothing Disadvantages: hose too short and complete lack of suction
I've aways had Dyson upright cleaners and found them very heavy. So I thought for a change I would buy a cylinder cleaner and with owning two dogs and being owned by three cats I thought this cylinder cleaner would be the perfect answer. However I now wished i'd never bothered.
'''A bit about the inventor and Dyson Company'''
James Dyson first invention was a Sea Truck whilst he was studing at the Royal College of Art. A few years later came the ... ...100,000 times those of gravity. Dyson then realised that the same system could be used for a vacuum cleaner, 5 years and 5,127 prototypes later the worlds first bagless vacuum cleaner was produced. Advantages: Very Powerful, quiet, and compact Disadvantages: a bit of a fiddle to clean
...about the pickup of the dyson vacuum cleaners, but believe me it is gob smacking when you see some much dirt coming out of a reacently vacuumed carpet! you really have to try it yourself to actually believe it!
The machine on the whole we are very pleased with, the small attachment tools have air inlet holes in them so while vacuuming curtains, its not a fight to to remove the curtain from the end of the attachment tool.
The machine and attachments ... ...of the bin. It is a mucky job especially when you brush the shroud on the cyclone assembly. The machine does what it is advertised, and does give you constant suction.
If you dont have a dyson the i strongly recommend you go out and but one! ...

Advantages: Powerful, easy to use, easy to store Disadvantages: None...
...about household appliances... but... the Dyson Animal sledge cleaner is a gem. It is easily stored (useful in an apartment), and simply beautifully effective.
Vacuuming isn't the world's most exciting task... but when the carpet becomes visibly lighter, brighter then the task is considerably more rewarding.
The Dyson is not too heavy (a criticism of some of the other models), has a good selection of tools, with a sensible selection of nozzles to ... ...well made, solid and functional, and it looks pretty too! The dust collection bin has a good volume, and is easy to empty. Very powerful, it deals easily with the usual dust & dirt, as well as being the most effective on pet hairs that I have found.
All round, this cleaner is simply an excellent product. ...
