Advantages: Easy to use, cleans really well, lots of optional extras Disadvantages: It cost £329.99
...put it, to buy a Dyson hover. For many years she has been going on about how wonderful these Hoovers are and however much attached to Henry that I was, he wasn't going to last forever.
The Dyson DC21 is what they call a Motorhead Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner and it weighs only a mere 14kg which is really light in comparison to what I am used to. Looks wise, well this Dyson looks space age to me and with the main body being quite small where all of the ... ...brush head. This Dyson and I suspect the case with most of the hoovers in this category is approved for allergy sufferers and they pick up the smallest of dust particles from your flooring whether it is a carpeted or wooden floor. Imagine the shock and disgust I felt when I first ever used my new Hoover, my mum did warn me that there would appear to be a hell of a lot of dirt being picked up and she wasn't wrong. I thought my house was always kept ...

Advantages: Easy to store and transport Disadvantages: Will not reach into tight spaces
Brought one of the these other day from Amazon, at that was the cheapest place. I wanted a motor head to replace a DC05 'Turbo Brush'. The DC21 is small and easy to carry around, although is heavier compared to older models. The hose attachment is badly designed for general use. You cannot break it down to get the nozzle into small areas, so won't be able to use this in a car. The Motor head itself is also massive, so it won't go under sofas etc, ...

Advantages: good suction, easy to put together, lots of attachments Disadvantages: short cord, cheap hose, cheap plastic
I just bought a Dyson DC21 Motorhead yesterday. I must say I am a bit annoyed. First off, the cord is too short to do my stairs, secondly, the motorhead left marks on the carpet that look like a large cat left scratch marks everywhere, and the hose kept kinkying on me. I had to keep stopping to unkink it. It also seemed a bit cumbersome, and it was a pain to pull around. The hose looks and feels cheap to me, the plastic parts on the vaccum, look ... ...The Dyson DC21 does have good qualities I must add, such as; it looks high tech, it comes with lots of attachments, it sucks up great and its easy to put together. The vaccum, although it has some good features, still is a disappointment to me. I guess I do recommend it on the basis that it does a good job, but I am still considering on returning it. ...

Advantages: Powerful, v good at picking up pet hair Disadvantages: As heavy and difficult to manouevre as an upright
...a replacement for my old Dyson motorhead, after the switch burnt out after 8 years faithful service.
Quite a lot has changed between the old and new models. I like the onboard tools storage and the new foot operated on/off switch. The suction seems to be much higher than the old model too. Although this means it certainly picks up dirt, it also means I can't hoover the front door mat any more, as the mat gets sucked up!
It is also a lot bigger, ... ...much more difficult to manoeuvre under and around furniture. The head on the new model is much bigger and less manoeuverable than the old one. If I'd realised how big, heavy and cumbersome this was, I have to say I probably would have thought twice about buying it, despite it's efficient cleaning. ...
