Advantages: Great fun, versatile, and cheap Disadvantages: Can end up squished into the bottom of your shoe
...I buy mine from the Early Learning Centre, under the name Soft Stuff.
~~~What is Soft Stuff?~~~
Well the tub describes Soft Stuff as “Re-usable modelling dough” and that's exactly what it is. Brightly coloured it's about the consistency of plastacine, although it does start off a little hard it softens with the warmth in your hands. It's available in a multitude of colours, but my children only have the pearlised versions, which are nice shiny ...
Advantages: Great fun for all the family from 2 years old Disadvantages: Adults may take over
Within an hour of Eloise being presented with her pack of 3 tubs of pearlised soft stuff £2.40 in the ELC sale (normal price £3.00) and her Soft Stuff Crazy Creepy Crawlies kit £8.00 in the sale (usual price £10.00) I relented and admitted to my husband that he hadn't gone over the top in keeping a promise to buy some more playdoh. We (Eloise, Mummy, Daddy, and Uncle Alex who has come on a visit)were all having great fun and it was already a worthwhile ...
Advantages: Endless concentraion and fun Disadvantages: a pain if the beads all fall out to clear up
For ages 5 and over
For my daughter's birthday (who is 8) her nan bought her this set of Hama Beads, something I had never seen or heard of before.
The set is purchased individually and comprises of white bases which come in every shape imaginable. My daughter to begin with was given a star, heart, butterfly, giraffe, circle, camel and a square. The bases are made up of hundreds of little plastic prongs. With these bases you purchase the beads, ...
Advantages: fun play, comes in loads of colours and is cheap Disadvantages: always ends up brown and has a tendency to go hard quick
My eldest daughter adores her soft stuff and we do on a regular basis get it out for her to play with. she has a couple of toys to "help" her cut them up and make different shapes and generally make a mess, inevitably some ends up a weird kind of brown colour (no matter what colour you started with) and some of it somehow ends up under my shoe and on my socks.
I also find that it does not stay soft stuff for long if you dont get the lids on tight ...
Advantages: Keeps the kids happy for hours. Disadvantages: Can tend to get everywhere.
It's all soft and squishy and yes the kids love it . What am I talking about and no it's not there mum. It's soft stuff by ELC.
It's ELC version of play dough.(doesn't smell the same though)
And it's great as long as you don't mind tidying it up a mess that tend's to look like bread crumb's. And finding it in the most unusual places. But it is hour's of fun and is really great when the weather is bad and you are all stuck indoors.
At ELC the ...
Advantages: Keeps the kids amused and quite cheaply Disadvantages: Can be messy
My son loves playing with his soft stuff, although it can be messy.
They come in little pots with a seal that can be peeled off when first opened. Soft stuff is just modelling clay that can be modelled into different shapes.
It is very cheap and comes in individual pots of different colours - either plain or shiny. You can also buy them in various packs including packs of three. There are also various accessories available with them, including ...
Advantages: Keeps my daughter busy for ages Disadvantages: After only one or two goes ita always ends up as one big blob!!
ELC call it Soft Stuff.
My daughter calls it Squidgy Stuff.
Whatever the name, it is a wonderful creation.
It may get squashed into the carpet, walls, clothes or hair. But it keeps my three year old quiet for hours. She will quite happily sit there at the table rolling the balls of coloured dough into flat shapes and then creating all manner of wondrous things. Her imagination runs wild. her latest game is to cut it into shapes and stick ...
Quick review of Early Learning Centre Soft stuff Review ofEarly Learning Centre Soft stuffby
boozyboo
I have recently bought this for my daughter as she loves to play with anything like this. Although its really good when you first use it I have found that it dries out quite quickly compared to other similar produsts on the market. As it is not one of the cheaper versions avavilable Im slightly disappointed and am already having to replace it after just a few uses. However she loves the glitter effect versions that they sell, although again it does seem to dry out quicker than playdoh.
