I've just bought four new tyres for my wife's Micra and, rather than spend an hour in a cold and cheerless tyre centre waiting room, I found e-Tyres on the interweb. This is a service which comes to you and fits the rubber where it's convenient to you - at home or work or wherever. I specifically ordered a battery with E-tyres due to their next day delivery and mobile fitting service, as my battery had completely packed in (hence the need for fitting at my home address). I ordered before lunchtime and received confirmation of my order. However later the same evening I received an answerphone message left at 17.50 saying that they did not provide mobile fitting at my home address (only 20mins from oxford!!). I have just had two tyres fitted this morning by E-tyres. The price was good (Michelin Energy), the service was quick, efficient and friendly. Will use again without hestitation and recommend to friends. Buying tyres has always been a bit of a faff in the past. Not any more. Top marks. Well Done !!! ...

I thought it was going to be so easy but unfortunately not...it was too good to be true! Booked on line, good price, then had the phone call to say unable to provide the tyre I wanted. No suitable alternative. Cancelled the appt and asked to be reimbursed. After a week no money has been paid into my account and I am fed up phoning to have this rectified! I was recommended Etyres by my colleague and so went to their website and got a fantastic price. Made a saving of nearly 100 quid on both my rear tyres. Excellent service, the driver called in advance so I knew exactly when they would arrive. They came over to my work address and within 15 minutes the tyres were replaced, balanced and fitted. What more could I ask for! ...

Ordered a battery for an Audi A4 - not an uncommon car you might think. They didn't phone by promised time to book appointment. 2 calls later said they were having trouble getting battery. 2 more calls later still unable to find a battery! Basically I think the franchisee (who was covering another area) couldn't be bothered to come out. Overall, for a company who hold themselves out to be the major e-fitting service my experience has been extremely disappointing and I won't be using them again. ...

E-tyres used to be cheap, but not any longer, as many "online" outfits are offering far better deals nowadays. Even some garages are cheapers, although I think they they might still have the edge on some of the national fitting stations, but it definately pays to shop around. I had previously heard that their wheel-balancing is supect due to it being carried out in the back of van. Apparently the van's suspension absorbs some of the vibration from ...

Very very poor service. dont turn up when arranged, fitters are very dubious, eg, giving very poor information and insisting that i didnt contact their head office to cancel. Still awaiting refund from 28th december. Legal action pending. AVOID AVOID AVOID. ...

Booked tyres online. Price was reasonable if not cheap cheap. Website very straight forward and easy to use. Got a call that evening to say the fitter would be there between 9 and 11 the next day(they say they will phone before 09.30 on the morning of fitting but it was nice to know earlier).
