Advantages Advantages Flexible and easy to store

Disadvantages Disadvantages Difficult to dry, felt unsafe

I bought this for my first son when I was pregnant, it looks like a great thing. I used it once and found it difficult to get a feeling of stability. I couldn't find a position where my son felt safe, and where I felt I could have let go without him falling into the water. I put it away and got it out again when I ahd my sceond son, in case I'd not given it a proper go. Again I didn't feel able to let go for more than a couple of seconds. I used it once again then got out my trusty standard baby bath. Advantages Flexible, easy to clean Disadvantages It takes several hours to dry, so while it ... more

Advantages Advantages Makes my baby smile, she loves it!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Needs to be hung up to dry

We use the product in both the baby bath and the family bath. It is a kind of floating mat with a rim around it so baby lies in a little bit of water. My baby looks really comfortable on it and never gets stressed. In the baby bath, I push the product down at the feet end so more of her body can be covered by the water, yet her head doesn't go under. As with any product of this type you still have to hold her but it is like having an extra pair of now slip hands. As a new first time mum it gives me confidence. I love using this product in the regular bath, we bath together and my baby loves it ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use in main bath, easy to store

Disadvantages Disadvantages Takes a long time to dry out, baby outgrows quickly

As I have a very small bathroom with no room to hold or store a baby bath, I bought an easy bathing pad to use instead. It takes a little while to trust how much weight it can hold as to look at, it does n't seem very sturdy. I found I did n't want to take my hand away from under my baby's head as I was worried she would sink! Once I had overcome that it worked wonders. My baby loved being pushed gently up and down the bath. It does seem to take an awful long time to dry out, I would hang it on a heated rail as soon as I had finished using it but it would still be damp the next day. It never ... more

Advantages Advantages more secure way of bathing a newborn

Disadvantages Disadvantages not able to wash baby's back

The pad comes in useful for bathing newborn babies as it offers greater security for new parents since a baby can't slip unlike when holding it in your hands. I was feeling much more confident using the bath pad to wash my baby especially during her first few weeks since I didn't feel very confident holding her straight away while she was tiny and slippery from the shampoo. It is also great and easy to use for washing baby's face and hair. However, it is impossible to wash baby's back if using the bath pad and my daughter doesn't enjoy lying in it for a bit longer than needed because she gets ... more
