Advantages Advantages No streaks and a nice golden tan all over

Disadvantages Disadvantages The liquid is incolore therefore not very easy to see

I first encounter Ecotan self tan spray when a work colleague bought it to me for my birthday!! I knowI know I have nice work colleagues!!! Anyway, I wasn't too keen on it at first as I have quite a few prejudices against QVC for some reasons but I still decided to give it a go and believe me I never regretted it!!! - Application - Before applying the product (the same as before applying any self tan lotion!) you have to make sure that you exfoliate your body very well and thoroughly. Make sure that you do not miss any bits because that's where the streaks will come from. It works best if you ... more

I first came across this on QVC. It looked really good so my mum got a bottle for us to share. This unlike most is a spray not a mousse or cream. Price and where to get it You can buy this from QVC for £12 + postage and packaging or from house of Fraser which is the same price. For that price you get a 200ml bottle. Before applying it Get in the shower and exfoliate. Eco tan do a exfoliator which is quite good. But you can use them puffy things that are like sponges. Make sure you get all of your body. Once you get out of the shower wait until the pores are closed otherwise you might get a bit ... more

Advantages Advantages great results, natural looking, easy to apply, even tones.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

I have been using ecotan for 2 years now and have to say it is the best product I have ever used! I am fair-ish skinned with light brown hair and blue eyes, and although I do tan in the sun I prefer not to and, hey, with our climate it's just not possible anyway! I tend to use the product the night before and make sure I'm hair free first - but here's a tip: never shave/wax on the same day you plan to tan or you may end up with a "pin-cushion" effect if the product seeps into tender hair follicles. This is true for any fake tan. Step 1: shower Step 2: exfoliate Step 3: dry off with a towel and ... more

Advantages Advantages Pump spray rather than messy cream, natural looking tan which lasts for days

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the cheapest of products, but you get what you pay for!

We all know about the dangers of sunbathing, the increased risk of skin cancers without the right sort of high factor sun protection creams. But why use the sun when you can apply a self-tanning cream, gel or spray which doesn’t harm the skin, nor give you a nasty case of sunburn? And you can have a very natural looking tan within hours if you choose the right product. And if you prepare your skin fully before you begin. EcoTan is such a product, and one of the best I have personally tried. It’s a fine spray rather than a cream which makes application that much easier and no ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to apply, no streaks, no nasty smell

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None so far!

I know it doesn't seem like it, but summer isn't far away and we'll all soon be getting out the shorts and vest tops and baring our white bodies to the world! I've discovered a brilliant product called Ecotan which will enable you to go out on a sunny day and not worry about looking like a pale Brit!! The self tan comes in a 200ml spray which is really easy to use and lasts for a long time and costs around £13 - £17 depending on where you buy it. I usually get mine from QVC but I have seen it in department stores too. Because it comes in a spray and not a cream or lotion it means you can spray ... more

Advantages Advantages So easy to use, no more orange marks, Spray bottle

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can't think of any

To begin with let me just say YAHOOOOO I finally found something that makes me look as though I have a tan. I bought ECO Tan from QVC a while back now, and when I first used it I followed the instructions to the letter. But my first attempt made me burn and go very very red. I was told to make a test somewhere on my body that wouldn't be seen, Well I'm always in Jeans or Trousers so I did my legs and that was fine but as soon as I put it on my face thats when it happened, You would have thought I had been put in the oven on high heat for about a week or more. My second attempt was soo much ... more

    Advantages Advantages Fast and effective

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can drip if you hold the spray too close.

The sun is out for the first time this year, you reach for sleeveless T-shirt and a short skirt, but wait look at those pasty arms and blue-white legs, what can you do? Reach for the self tan and fake it. I started to use Ecotan last summer as I was sick of hiding in the back garden until my legs had lost the deathly winter pallour. The first go disaster! I had brown drips round my ankles which took a few days to fade. I had followed the instructions but failed to judge the twelve inches(30 cms) distance to spray from correctly. My second try was much more successful and I have been using it ... more

Advantages Advantages A speedy way of getting a tan

Disadvantages Disadvantages Some people seem to have difficulty applying it

Ok, so I NEVER tan. I never have done. I can sit out in the sun for hours, get slightly pink...then back to white again. The 'white' look is rarely attractive though, so I've used self tans for years - a god send! However, despite being a bit of a self-tan-aholic, I'm not a fan of the 'orange' look, so when I find a tan that I like, I tend to stick with it. I first tried Ecotan a couple of years back. The spray method has quite a few benefits over other cream or mousse applications. The main one being the speed of application. While I still like to use a mousse or cream when I have a bit more ... more

    Advantages Advantages Effective

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be tricky to use

Over the years I have tried a fair few fake tans, being extremely fair skinned and never tanning just burning I need some help to get that Bronzed look. One of the products I have tried is Ecotan. This can take a little while to get the hang of but once you do it is amazing and one of the better self tanning products I have tried. It doesn't mark clothes and dries in minutes, a great bonus - as I feel like a right numpty stood in my underwear not daring to touch anything while my fake tan dries. I got my ecotan from http://www.salonlines.co.uk/self-tanning-lotions/e co-tan/ for £17.95 for 2 ... more

    Advantages Advantages None

Disadvantages Disadvantages trickled down your legs when applied.

I know some people swear by this product, so when I saw it on QVC shopping channel last year, I thought they made this false tan spray look so easy, even I could do it!! Even though the price was £26.00, I thought I would splash out as you got free shower gel, exfoliator and body lotion with it as a package. Iam very pale and have tried several products, I always follow the instructions on the bottles, but somehow I end up looking like the Bisto Kid. Not this time I thought, they make it look easy peesy. I was prepared to give it a go then people would stop calling me Milk Bottle. The first ... more
