Finally a self tan that meet my expectations

Advantages: No streaks and a nice golden tan all over
Disadvantages: The liquid is incolore therefore not very easy to see

I first encounter Ecotan self tan spray when a work colleague bought it to me for my birthday!! I knowI know I have nice work colleagues!!! Anyway, I wasn't too keen on it at first as I have quite a few prejudices against QVC for some reasons but I still decided to give it a go and believe me I never regretted it!!! - Application - Before applying the product (the same as before applying any self tan lotion!) you have to make sure that you exfoliate ...
...do not miss any bits because that's where the streaks will come from. It works best if you use a product with big grains. My colleague also bought me the exfoliator that came with Ecotan but it didn't do the job very well as the grain were too fine and didn't get rid of all the dry skin. After exfoliating, dry yourself and wait a bit for your pores to close before applying the product. Once you are ready, spray it all over and rub it in thouroughly ...

golden beach babe in (almost) an instant

Advantages: great results, natural looking, easy to apply, even tones.
Disadvantages: none

I have been using ecotan for 2 years now and have to say it is the best product I have ever used! I am fair-ish skinned with light brown hair and blue eyes, and although I do tan in the sun I prefer not to and, hey, with our climate it's just not possible anyway! I tend to use the product the night before and make sure I'm hair free first - but here's a tip: never shave/wax on the same day you plan to tan or you may end up with a "pin-cushion" ...
...This is true for any fake tan. Step 1: shower Step 2: exfoliate Step 3: dry off with a towel and allow your skin to dry properly - give it 5 - 10 mins after you've showered and dried. Step 4: apply moisturiser only to extra dry skin eg the "kneeling pads" on the front of your feet near your ankles, your elbows and the soles of your feet. Step 5: hold the bottle a short distance away from the area you wish to tan (about the length of your forearm) ...

No more streaks for me...ahem

Advantages: Pump spray rather than messy cream, natural looking tan which lasts for days
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest of products, but you get what you pay for!

We all know about the dangers of sunbathing, the increased risk of skin cancers without the right sort of high factor sun protection creams. But why use the sun when you can apply a self-tanning cream, gel or spray which doesn’t harm the skin, nor give you a nasty case of sunburn? And you can have a very natural looking tan within hours if you choose the right product. And if you prepare your skin fully before you begin. EcoTan is such a product, ...
...a fine spray rather than a cream which makes application that much easier and no stained hands! A clear liquid housed in a rather unexciting clear plastic bottle but the results are very pleasing. As with any self-tan product, it is always advisable to completely exfoliate your skin first to remove any dry skin cells, which absorb the colour considerably more giving you those nasty dark orange patches. Always pay particular attention to elbows and ...

Disadvantages: None so far!

I know it doesn't seem like it, but summer isn't far away and we'll all soon be getting out the shorts and vest tops and baring our white bodies to the world! I've discovered a brilliant product called Ecotan which will enable you to go out on a sunny day and not worry about looking like a pale Brit!! The self tan comes in a 200ml spray which is really easy to use and lasts for a long time and costs around £13 - £17 depending on where you buy it. ...
...seen it in department stores too. Because it comes in a spray and not a cream or lotion it means you can spray your back and you get a light and even coverage. I find the colour takes a few hours to come out, but the best thing is that it is a really natural colour - not one of these orangey "I've been tangoed" looks and you can keep topping it up until you achieve the colour you desire. The product is odourless so you don't have to vent your whole ...

...a tan. I bought ECO Tan from QVC a while back now, and when I first used it I followed the instructions to the letter. But my first attempt made me burn and go very very red. I was told to make a test somewhere on my body that wouldn't be seen, Well I'm always in Jeans or Trousers so I did my legs and that was fine but as soon as I put it on my face thats when it happened, You would have thought I had been put in the oven on high heat for about ...
...much better. Eco tan is a spray on tanning product, it came with 2 other products that I found very useful. 1 Exfoliating wash (removes all the dead skin, and you can feel the difference straigh away) 2 Moisturizing cream (Leaves you silky soft) When applying the tanning spray you leave for 5 mins then rub it in, don't spray directly onto your Knees or elbows as this tends to clog up and make you look well rather silly. When rubbing in the spray ...

Disadvantages: Can drip if you hold the spray too close.

The sun is out for the first time this year, you reach for sleeveless T-shirt and a short skirt, but wait look at those pasty arms and blue-white legs, what can you do? Reach for the self tan and fake it. I started to use Ecotan last summer as I was sick of hiding in the back garden until my legs had lost the deathly winter pallour. The first go disaster! I had brown drips round my ankles which took a few days to fade. I had followed the instructions ...

I have since learnt that if your first coat is less than perfect a second one will help even it out a bit. The advantage of using this brand of spray tan on the body I have found is that it is easy to cover large areas evenly and it dries quickly. I have these tips for using it to the best effect.... A great quick fix!

Advantages: A speedy way of getting a tan
Disadvantages: Some people seem to have difficulty applying it

Ok, so I NEVER tan. I never have done. I can sit out in the sun for hours, get slightly pink...then back to white again. The 'white' look is rarely attractive though, so I've used self tans for years - a god send! However, despite being a bit of a self-tan-aholic, I'm not a fan of the 'orange' look, so when I find a tan that I like, I tend to stick with it. I first tried Ecotan a couple of years back. The spray method has quite a few benefits over ...
...the speed of application. While I still like to use a mousse or cream when I have a bit more time, I find that Ecotan is great as a top up! I can get up in the morning, get out of the shower...and if I realise I'm looking a bit too pasty to be revealing myself to the world, I'll give myself a quick spritz with the spray (taking all of 2 minutes), wait 5 mins or so for it to soak in, apply my moisturiser as usual, stick my make-up on and get dressed. ...

Worth a shot!

Advantages: Effective
Disadvantages: Can be tricky to use

Over the years I have tried a fair few fake tans, being extremely fair skinned and never tanning just burning I need some help to get that Bronzed look. One of the products I have tried is Ecotan. This can take a little while to get the hang of but once you do it is amazing and one of the better self tanning products I have tried. It doesn't mark clothes and dries in minutes, a great bonus - as I feel like a right numpty stood in my underwear not ...
...I got my ecotan from http://www.salonlines.co.uk/self-tanning-lotions/e co-tan/ for £17.95 for 2 500ml bottles of the Ecotan classic tan spray. (They are £11.95 for a single bottle). When I compared this to other sites the price was very competitive and reasonable. As with all fake tans the best way to apply is after a shower, having exfoliated and moisturised. my routine when putting on the fake tan is shower and exfoliate, towel dry and moisturise. ...

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: trickled down your legs when applied.

...The first time I applied Eco Tan I exfoliated first, then moisturised just like on the TV. Then I applied the product by holding it 12 inches away from my skin. Then I gave a quick blast to my legs and watched it all trickle down my legs. I hardly let any out, I didn't rub it in as the instructions told you not to. Then I waited for four hours or so. Ecotan Excel

Advantages: Easy to apply, is coloured so you see where you are spraying
Disadvantages: The colour of the bottle means it is difficult to tell how much you have left

I read a review on Ecotan in a magazine where it promised to be easy to apply with no messy hands, no streaks and a natural even colour. That did it, I ordered a bottle from QVC and waited eagerly for it to arrive. On the day that it arrived I applied it during my lunch hour from work. It was easy to apply as long as you followed the instructions and held the spray a good distance from your body as you were applying it. And due to the colour you ...

How to Apply Simply shave, exfoliate and moisturise prior to application. I advise waiting an hour or so for your pores to close after this as it can be stingy if you've freshly ...

Easy to use

Advantages: Easy to apply, even Tan, no mess , unisex,
Disadvantages:

EcoTan has been the first Self Tan product i have used that i was able to apply easily without any mess mistakes or streaking. Yhe product is a clear liquid and is applied with a spray dispenser. You only need a light mist which therefore leaves out the need to massage the product into the skin, I found that it gave a Tan which lacked the Orange type colouration that some i have used left. The product is both safe for the face and an all over ...

I found this product to be of value to men too as its ease to apply through body hair still gives an even tan. i tan quite easily so milky legs in summer is not really an issue but as party season descends, what to do about those corned beef legs.... not a good look. being a late night qvc slob, i'd often heard not only the presenters but lots of viewers raving about this stuff so knowing i had 30 days to use it and send it back if i wasn't happy i decided to give it a whirl. it was fairly pricey, about £10 for a 250ml bottle, and i was a bit disappointed ...
