I began entering my car's details for the five billionth time waiting to be told they would require both my legs, my right arm and a down payment of £1000 for my pile of rust on wheels. ...I would highly recommend trying Elephant.co.uk for a quote next time your renewal is due - you might not be as fortunate as me in saving so much money, but it's worth a try! When it comes to car insurance, some insurers advertise themselves as cheap on television and then when you actually recieve an online quote, their prices are beyond ridiculous. I find that the most expensive companies are the ones with the most television adverts and supermarket car insurance. But then again i am a young driver. This makes it impossible for me to find insurance under around a thousand pound, i literally spent months getting quotations, ...

Elephant.co.uk is the first, as far as I can tell, truly Internet only insurance company (run by the Admiral Group). This should be good for customers, as they will have fewer costs, so will be able to offer cheaper car insurance. Much like Internet banks can offer their customers a higher rate of interest. Had to renew my car insurance this month and since this will be the first time i have had to shop around (have bought new cars each year just to get free insurance) I did a lot of research into the best and cheapest quality around. My first quote was actually elephant and it was and so didnt know if if was any good. However, once I started phoning around I found that it was cheaper by at LEAST £400 with the biggest difference being about £800!!! ...
