Advantages Advantages Keeps lips deliciously soft and smooth

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not many colour options

I recently received a fabulous free gift from Elizabeth Arden containing, amongst other items, an Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant Sheer Tint Stick . ***What is it*** A new addition to the very successful 8 Hour range, this is a non-greasy, lip balm/lipstick that gives up to 8 hours moisturation with built in SPF15. It comes in 4 shades (Blush, Berry, Plum and Honey) and weighs 13oz (3.7g) ***What's in it*** If like me you are allergic to lots of products the active ingredients are as follows: Padimate O, W/W Oxybenzone, W/W Petroleum ***Where can I buy it*** Not too many places sell this in ... more

Advantages Advantages colour and care, and smaller in your handbag

Disadvantages Disadvantages It just doesn't live up to it's predecessor.

Like all good magazine-reading, beauty-loving sheep, I'm a big fan of that classic orange goo, Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream. It really does solve all life's problems (Or at least it stops my skin from drying out). But I find 99% of the time I only use it on my lips, and at £18 a tube, that's a pretty pricey lipbalm / gloss. There has been a lip treatment alternative - a lip protectant stick that basically looked like a translucent white lipstick - for some time, but I was never convinced it was going to be as good as the cream, and you don't get much in a stick compared to a tube of cream. I ... more

Advantages Advantages It moisturises like a dream and is easily absorbed whilst protective

Disadvantages Disadvantages I really do not like the smell at all

I tend to suffer from very dry lips, particularly as the nights get colder and I have to put on the central heating. The cold weather outside has a very drying effect on my lips and they often will end up sore and chapped and will even bleed when they get really bad. I used to use Vaseline for years and it did the job at applying a barrier to my lips and stopping the dryness from worsening, however, it didn’t really do very much as far as actually moisturizing my lips was concerned. I always felt that it just ‘sat there’ on top of my lips but it wasn’t effectively absorbed. I needed a product ... more

Advantages Advantages As good as the cream

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Price

I am a self obsessed lip balm fan and always love trying new ones on the market. I am not a snob or posh but you can quite often find me draped around the make up counters in department stores especially the clinique counter!!! Today though i shall not be telling you about clinique products though but that of Elizabeth Arden. As any beauty conscious girl will know Elizabeth Arden fame themselves on their Eight Hour Cream and if you read the glossy mags like me you wil see that all the stars use this. Obviously this is in my make up bag too simply because its brill!!!! Well Elizabeth Arden now ... more

Advantages Advantages Very moisturising and soothing.

Disadvantages Disadvantages PRICE!! Small disappointment with the colour,

I adore red lipstick, as scarlett and deep the red can be I want it. So when I was out shopping and saw this in the glass case (I bought Berry 05) I was thrilled. I'd been looking for a very red lipstick to replace mine for a long time now. Although the shop I was in did not allow testers, I saw the colour and the moisturiser in it and had to buy it. The Packaging: The box it came in was the classic EA box, but on opening, I was a bit disappointed I have to admit. It was quite plain and I didn't think it had the glamour that buying EA should give. The Colour: I was really disappointed at the ... more
