In order to save Zion, What part will YOU play?

Advantages: hour of extra footage, superb game
Disadvantages: dull settings, nothing else

Battle alongside the original motion picture cast. Experience unparalleled film collaboration resulting in a true Matrix experience. Watch over an hour of exclusive film footage from the creators of the Matrix trilogy. All you Matrix fans out there, this game is the one for you! This game does not follow the film from the film's point of view, i.e. Neo, Morpheus and Trinity. Instead, fight your way behind the scenes as either Niobe or Ghost, following ...
...It's true- play the story within the story, for instance in the Matrix: Reloaded, Niobe and Ghost end up in the Matrix ready to help Morpheus on the freeway. But how did they get there, and what happened on their way? Well, play it! This game is the best of it's kind, featuring over an hour of exclusive footage filmed purely for the game. As you go through the game, you get certain information that you don't get from the movie. For example, in the ...

...tie in game ever made, Enter The Matrix certainly had a lot to live up to. There’s been a lot of criticism of games which are based around movie’s and this game had it fair share of critics right from the beginning. The big question is did it live up to the massive hype and anticipation that was cast upon its shoulders. There’s no actual answer to this question, it’s definitely a brilliant game, no doubt about it. Whether ...
...entirely different story. Enter The Matrix boasts some of the most fast paced, exciting and truly extraordinary action seen this year. It offers car chases, diverse fighting techniques, tons of weapons and the incredible experience of battling face to face with an agent. You can run up walls, you can take out SWAT teams, you can even spar with Trinity. From this it is clear that Enter The Matrix relies heavily on the plot and story of The Matrix ...

Has the matrix still got you

Advantages: the abilty of bullettime
Disadvantages: it is a bit short

Enter the matrix is the game which follows the plot of the matrix trilogy as you play as the crew of the logos. I do recommend that you watch the matrix series before you play the game, as then I will be easier to understand what the story is all about. Game storyline The logos has received information that the ship Osiris has made an emergency drop off in the matrix, the main reason that captain niobe thinks this drop off is important is because ...
...reliable and dangerous to pick up. Pretty soon niode and ghost were getting ready to jack in with some encouraging thought from the operator sparky as he ask them where they would like to be buried and always they jack in. Gameplay The Gameplay is simple enough, you just move from one place to another making sure you don’t get kill in the process, to help you are over 25 weapons includes pistols, machine guns, sniper rifles and my personal ...

the fourth part of the trilogy

Advantages: Fantastic Game
Disadvantages: Too Short

This is part of my series of reviews on the entire matrix franchise. Look out for the next part soon The matrix is one of the biggest trilogies ever constructed. It cost the production company hundreds of millions of dollars. But the fact is that the matrix is not a trilogy. The idea surrounding it was brilliant. Not only make a trilogy of films, but create the animatrix and a game to fill in the gaps. There's also "the matrix online" and various ...
...Of course, this was more of a money making exercise than it is a creative one. But that's just the cynic in me coming out. So is this game any good? Well Mr. Anderson let me explain. I must warn, the following does give a little away about later levels in the game. However, if you've seen the movie or any of the hype about the game then you should have already been exposed to the plot. --------------------------- The Plot --------------------------- ...

In the battle to save Zion who will you Play?

Advantages: Stunning graphics, amazing moves, great movie scenes
Disadvantages: No Neo or Morpheus

Well, after being a bin Matrix fan and seeing the The Matrix reloaded in the cinema I excitedly purchased the game version. And to my horror as a no.1 fan I was shocked to find that Neo, Morpheus and Trinity were nowhere to be seen. Apart from that major flaw in the game I could certinly see no other apart from the shortness of it if you only clear games once. The ability to chose between Niobe and Ghost made the game just that bit more better. ...
...is the man for you. On the other hand if you love fighting agents, driving cars and flying high speed hovercrafts while being chased by a very fast explosive device like me then you should definitly chose Niobe. As you know already, you can be either Captain Niobe or Smooth dresser Ghost. You're operater is Sparx and each character has a different story line. While playing Ghost you encounter a long airplane/car chase, an agent in a helicopter and ...

Its a funny LITTLE game

Advantages: superb grachics, some great moves
Disadvantages: The game is far too short, you play through the game as a very dull character

...hype of The Matrix Reloaded, Enter The Matrix arrived. The game astonishes the buyer almost instantly with the extremely easy to use bullet time and the really brilliant looking moves that are possible to perform from just tapping a button once it seems this is the best game in existence. Well unfortunately its not. Once you get bored with all the zappy moves you realise that you should complete the game. And yes unfortunately it is extremely short. ...
...quickly. There are some cool extra features like being able to drive on some levels but that can become very boring very quickly making the amount of play time last on this game until you get bored about 2 weeks. Being a huge Matrix fan this really put me off but fortunately, the game is not all bad. The graphics are absolutely incredible especially with in slow motion. The bullets can be seen whizzing past you as you run away flipping to dodge them. ...

If you like the movie you may like the game.

Advantages: New movie sequences & bullet time is such fun
Disadvantages: Controls are initially weird and lacks a great plot

...rubbish and dull". Well, maybe Enter The Matrix is the exception that proves the rule. The makers of "Enter The Matrix" told us that this game is sort of like The Matrix 2.5 - a hybrid between the 2nd and 3rd episodes of the movie. Right from the start we see that this isn't just hype. Actors from the second movie appear in FMV sequences not seen in The Matrix Reloaded, because they were filmed solely for the game. While this adds to the feeling ...
...a password you need to enter into a website. I've not bothered with that yet, but it would be nice if this feature gave you extra powers or abilities within the game. I'm having far too much fun slowing down time and kicking butt for this to distract me, but it may well be useful in extending the lifespan of the game after I've finished. Many people believe that this game is too short. I agree that maybe the story missions could have been a bit ...

Disadvantages: Once youve completed it youll probaly not go back

...time was diving, while in Enter the Matrix, nearly EVERYTHING depends on bullet Time. From how fast you rund to how far you jump, from dodging to shoot-dives, and, my favorite, punches, kicks and throws. A great example of a focus (Using bullet time mode) kick, is a kick off the wall, where you jump towards a wall, propell off the wall towards your opponent, and deliver a knock out blow. Sound: 8 "Do you hear that, Mr. Anderson? That is the sound ...
...The Music is excellent, it gets you in the mood, that is, if you it doesn't get drowned out by the hundreds of bullets. But when its there, its good. As for sound effects, meh. The off-beat footsteps and sometimes echoing glitch can get on your nerves. The sound of guns sound authentic at times, others you wish the music was louder. AI: 6 "A singular consciousness that spawned an entire race of machines." The AI is my major problem with the game. ...

A Shameless cash-in on a popular movie franchise

Advantages: Matrix franchise label
Disadvantages: Everything else

...biggest disappointment. In Enter the Matrix, you play as Niobe (Jada Pinkett-Smith, Will Smith’s gorgeous wife) and Ghost, two minor characters from The Matrix: Reloaded through what slightly resembles the plot of the second film, yet is a much weaker effort. The problems start early with this game. The lack of tutorial for a game with a bad control system to begin with is pretty much suicide. I spent a good two hours running around battling the ...
...whilst reading the incoherent clues scattered around the first few levels with tips on how to control your character and solve the puzzles. The neat and much advertised bullet time mode is executed quite badly so even though if you get it right it looks quite cool, the chance of actually getting your character to benefit from it is quite slim. More often than not you will be battling the camera to then see your character die spectacularly in slow ...

This red pill tastes a bit off to me

Advantages: Expands on the Matrix storyline
Disadvantages: Rushed, premature and sloppy

Movie-to-game conversions are a touchy issue as the majority suck but occasionally some shine (‘Goldeneye’ and, to a lesser extent, ‘Die Hard Trilogy’). While ‘Enter The Matrix’ (ETM) is tied up in the Matrix tsunami, directed by style connoisseurs the Wachowski brothers, it just fails to deliver. Much like ‘Reloaded’, really. Sure, it all looks very fast and fluid. Players can choose to ‘be’ Ghost or Niobe from the movie, each with different routes ...
...(read “bullet time”) with a stab and a press of the corresponding button, so those integral gun-toting cartwheels and flips off the wall are easy to perform, as well as being blissfully entertaining and eye catching. The rest of the Kung-Fu action is a button bashing smash-a-thon, being too simplified with little choice for specific moves. The driving/shooting levels that deviate from the action recipe are dull and amateurish – thankfully they don’t ...

Will you "Enter The Matrix"? PS2

Advantages: Fits in with the Matrix Scene
Disadvantages: inadequate graphics

Given the HUGE popularity of the films, this game was expected to be a missive must have game. Unfortunatly, i thought it was quite a big let down. Reasons: Although the game brings a unique sort of gameplay to the games consoles (the matrix moves) and game playability is good, this is not enough to earn it the right of being a great game. At times the graphics are quite a big let down and the lack of Morpheus, Neo and Trinity in the game is disappointing ...
...are very easy to learn and although there are some spectacular moves to pull off in the games i feel there are not enough. All This may not seem that much to some people but for me, not being able to fight your way through the game as the mighty "Morpheus" or "The One" is quite a big deal. Instead you're left being able to choose between "Naobi" or "Ghost", Two relatively unknown characters from the film phenomenon. Within the game, fighting the ...

Advantages: great gameplay
Disadvantages: too short

I bought this game for my brother for his birthday, which happened to be on August the 1st, he didnt open the game until monday, by tuesday night we'd finished it. However, the length of the game is not all thats in question here. Graphics The graphics in this game are pretty good, the gameplay is mixed in with some real video clips, which is pretty exciting, the characters look pretty good ingame, but the CG video scenes are nothing special. ...
...great mixture between hand to hand combat with great weapons is a very well done. The ability to use focus to do matrix-esque moves such as running up walls, diving through the air and shooting and various other things is excellently interpretted into the game, and pretty easy to grasp. Length The levels themselves are very detailed, but the directional arrow that tells you which way to go gives far too much away, and you can easily run through ...

A must for all matrix fans

Advantages: good fighting action
Disadvantages: easy, quick and boring

I first started the game on my birthday, when I got a PlayStation™ 2 and a load of games to go with it. When I switched on the game it looked rather good and the graphics looked okay too. The first level was the post office, where you are looking for a package. When I first had a fight with a guard, I was stunned by the way you fight, like in the Matrix™. You can run up walls and do loads of the fight techniques. I found the speed was ...
...do incredible moves to defeat a s.w.a.t team. If you can get over the incredible feeling of the fighting techniques, then you can try to use guns such as snipers, grenades and even two guns at a time! Apart from that there is all the features a character gets to do, during the game. Driving cars, jumping across massive gaps like rooftops, shooting from the back of a moving car and battling against helicopters are a few. One of the biggest downfalls ...
