The Epson C2000's models

There are four different models available (we chose the basic model) :
* AcuLaser C2000 - 32MB mem, 500 sheet cassette and 150 sheet tray.
* AcuLaser C2000PS - 96MB mem, PostScript 3, 500 sheet cassette and 150 sheet tray.
* AcuLaser C2000DT - 96MB mem, duplex printing unit, 2 x 500 sheet cassettes and 150 sheet tray.

All the C2000 printers offer 600 dpi printing resolution, and with the AcuLaser's 'Fine Dot Control Technology' (!?) it can 'fake' up to 2400 dpi. So basically, it's a 600 dpi colour laser printer :-)

...writing an opinion about the Epson Aculaser C1000 not C2000. But since there is no option for this on here I am going to use this site instead to complain about how cheap and nasty the C1000 is.
We have now got the printer for a few weeks and from the start we were not very impressed with the quality of the printing. At first we thought it was because we didnt have enough memory but when we installed the new extra 128MB.. there was NO difference ... ...ok we thought... we didnt need to have good quality of print for most of the stuff we print... the speed (super fast) makes up for the lack in quality. And we thought we cant really complain as we got it for £650... WRONG...
The print quality has gone from bad to worst. The bottom right hand corner is now lightens much more then the whole picture... This is so lame. Now as I recommend this cheap and nasty laser printer to my director I am made to ...

A very good laser printer overall. Easy to install software on your Applemac, and manual is quite straight forward. The quality of the print outs are high, however, beware to check for a good supplier beforehand for consumables as they can get quite pricey and vary dramatically between suppliers. Its a large but compact A4 printer, noise level is very low indeed. I would recommend this to buy if you are going to use it at work as its not really a ...
