Cheap easy to fit and works with Vista too. Quality of image produced is very good. This scanner though is let down by its software. Yes, you can do almost anything you want but the software is oriented around single jobs. If you have an application where you might want each time to scan first a photo and then a form then it's very tedious setting everything up each time. Not only that but if you want to use it for archiving documents it needs half ... ...if you scan multiple sheets using Acrobat as the controlling software, if you haven't turned the page and clicked on next scan within ten seconds then you have a 30 second wait. As if all that isn't enough the flat bed cover doesn't press out any folds in a letter so dark patches can require duplicate scans. ...

I would first like to start by giving clarification on the functions of this item. It is not a printer, as said by Ciao, it is in fact a scanner that is hooked up to a computer with the necessary photoshop software to enable editting of home photo's and professional shots. Unlike professional photo scanners, the V100 is very cheap. I paid only 110 Euros (about £65) for mine as I like to play with my photo's, changing backgrounds, removing red eyes ... ...suitable for hanging or presentation.
Attaching the scanner is easy, but you will need to clear a side very close to your PC. A cable slots straight into the PC USB port and the drivers are loaded onto direct from a CD, but the cable is not very long. Once this is done everything is ready to go. Although a scanner designed for photographs, anything can be scanned using the V1000.
When scanning the scanner uses 3200 x 9600 DPI Matrix to copy images ...
