This is a great camera, I bought it being a first time in digital camera's and thought it might take some time before I a) got the hang of it, and b) justified spending the money. No problem with either. Its easy to use and very versatile, and the cost is recouped with the fun you can have with it. Advantages: Stills and Video camera functions - can also be used as a webcam. Disadvantages: Basic point and shoot functionality.
This camera also doubles as a basic video camera! Using the video out lead, you can view and record moving images to video, or use as a webcam with your PC. The range is limited by the length of the lead though. As a first digital camera, or for a photographer with few expextations, this camera is ideal.
