Epson Stylus D78 Printer I bought this printer as a direct replacement for my old Epson printer which recently went on the blink. Anyway I have used Epson's in the past so thought i'd stick with them as third party/remanufactured ink cartiridges are easy to get and also cheap too. Anyway onto the printer itself, I bought mine for £39.99 from John Lewis as they had it in stock and their customer support is excellent too. We brought this printer from Staples at around £60. The reason we brought it was because there are four individual ink cartridges, Black, Blue, Pink and Yellow. The ink is relatively cheap compared to other brands such as Hewlett Packard, therefore running costs are low. The box contained four ink cartridges to start you off, software CD and the printer itself. this printer is very much a basic printer, it is quite prone to clogging and leaving streaks on the paper, and recently has decided that it likes to eat paper! saying this though, it was a very cheap printer and does the job quite well, it is not too bad on ink, however doing a comparison against my old printer (same make) it seems to use a lot more black ink. and although the printer was extremely cheap and worth the money, the ink is more expensive than the printer, and compatibles cannot be bought. if the printer was made before feb 07 there are no compatible ink cartridges and the built in ... more

This is a great replacement of the popular D68 and offers excellent printing quality and cheap cartridges. It also has a redesigned snazzy case that fits at the side of any pc. With Epson We also get the advantage of Epson Express service to get faulty units fixed and replaced. I have used this service when myD68 failed and received this excellent replacement. Printer will print very high quality prints and requires 4 cartridges which make it that much easier to replace cartridges the colours always seen to last longer their the black but these are cheap.
