Advantages Advantages First class archival quality prints on a wide range of media

Disadvantages Disadvantages High price for an inkjet printer

Having finally converted from 35mm to digital photography a few years ago the EPSON 2100 inkjet printer is probably the final piece of my jigsaw. At last the high quality images produced by my Olympus E10 camera can be matched by prints that jump out from the page with their colour and clarity. The first problem with this printer is finding a dealer with one in stock. They move from the shelves at incredible speed. I was beginning to suspect a black market existed before I finally located a supplier who arranged delivery the next day. The packaged printer is HUGE ! The box would almost provide ... more

    Advantages Advantages Quality of prints

    Disadvantages Disadvantages space taken up!!

This little(!) printer is one of the best printers I've ever used! Working in a photography studio, we are able to run off prints that seem to take the lab we deal with up to a week in a matter of minutes! Other reviewers have banged on about the amazing quality of the prints - when using official epson products obviously - but I really must say, when I framed two prints one from the lab (ie a REAL photo!) and one from the printer my boss with 30+ years experience in photography couldn't tell the difference! Whats most amazing about this printer is that it doesn't seem to be as sensitive as ... more

Advantages Advantages Very superb print quality

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive

I’ve always wanted to buy inkjet printer because Iof the great reviews that I’ve heard about this printer. This printer uses a quick drying 7-colour UltraChrome ink set; Cyan, Light, Light Magenta, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Light Black and Photo Black. There are 2 types of black ink that you can use on the EPSON 2100, one is Photo Black and the other one is Matte Black. The Photo Black can be used on Epson's Gloss, Semi Gloss, and Lustre media. The Matte Black is for fine arts people. There 2 types of parallel connections with this printer, you can either choose a USB 2.0, Firewire connections. I ... more

Advantages Advantages its fast and its of a high quality

Disadvantages Disadvantages takes a while to switch on

I had never been lucky with printers. When I first purchased a printer I went for the lemark printer and it stopped working. I took it back then it stopped working yet again! I was beginning to get fed up with lemark printers when it happened a third time so I decided to try the Epson make. First of all I tried the Epson stylus c46. It looked really stylish and small I loved the look of it. On the first night I had got it I needed to type some work up so I used it, but it dragged all my paper in at once and stopped working properly and made loud noises every time I switched it on. I was so ... more
