“Epson Stylus Photo R200”

published 14/10/2004

Quiet, Quality of print, flexibility

Fiddly CD printing tray

Having last owned a colour printer several years ago, (despite my modesty, I'll own up to it being a dot matrix!), I approached the purchase of this printer with some trepidation. Having initially been won over by the excellent quality of the demonstration print displayed with the printer, I was...

I'm thinking...

We only bought this printer because we happened to spot it one day on an online shop at a discounted price. Our old one was noisy, expensive to run and didn't produce very high quality prints so we went for it. We have never looked back; I can only praise this printer. Primarily, it was so easy...

Superb Photo Quality Printer

Manual is on CD

It was that time again when I needed a new printer, so I opted for the superb Epson R200. After several weeks of waiting for the printer to come into Argos, I finally got a text message to say that the printer was in stock. So off I went to my local Argos and picked up my printer and straight...

“Excellent quality and value”

published 05/03/2006

Quality for the price, CD printing

Ink usage and costs, occasional problems printing ...

I bought this printer primarily because I needed to print good quality labels for CDs and DVDs. Self-adhesive labels are OK, but will never look professional, regardless of how well designed they are. This printer was one of very few budget inkjet printers to support CD printing, the other being...

Fast, Reliable and Pretty Damn Good

A tad noisy, Can be a bit awkward to get used to

My girlfriend bought this for me as a gift and I honestly have to say its definately one of the best Inkjet printers on the market. I have used a number of Epson printers including the C62, CX3200 etc and I honestly can hold my hands up and say they are in my opinion the best printers for value...

Fantastic, fast printing

Noisy, instructions a bit odd

Im no techy, so I apologise in advance for this low tech review of this printer. This is a review based for your average PC user, not teccy buffs. Anyway, i recently bought this great printer for a nifty £84 (from John Lewis). I looked around at the competition, and I chose this printer for the...

Having previously owned a Lexmark (cheap printer, expensive cartridges) and then learnt by mistakes and had a number of different epson printers (C42, then CX3200 all in one), when I was looking for a printer that would print on the printable dvd's I had recently bought for my DVD recorder, epson...

I have now had the Epson R200 for about 6 months, replacing my old (and very noisy Epson 790). Purchase price was around £60-70 *** While the printer comes with a power cable there is no cable to connect the printer to the computer, if you do not already have one you will need a USB printer cable...

Good

Easy to use

Only likes its own brand paper

The Epson Photo R200 is a well thought-out, well designed little printer. It has a front tray that folds up out of the way when not in use; it has a nice compact rounded design that makes it easy to position in the home environment; it has two USB ports: one front, one back; it does not require a...

“Epson has served me well”

published 10/07/2012

Cheap, prints well with original cartridges

Slow printing, noisy, expensive ink refills

I’ve had this printer for about 10 years now so I think it may be a little dated compared to the newer printers on the market. I can confidently say, however, that it has stood the test of time. I’ve just got to the point now where I think I need a new one! The printer is perfectly fine in...

The epson stylus photo r200 is a fairly new printer to the market and i usually am quite hesitant about buying new products. I tend to let other people try them first and depending on the feedback purchase it then. However i was desperate for a printer and so purchased this one straight away. The...

Requires 6 cartridges

Prints directly onto "Printable" cd's

I brought my R200 from PC World because I was fed up printing cd labels only to find that they didn't stick. I'm pretty sure that it was under £100 (but I'm not going to swear to it). I can't remember whether it came with a usb lead but I know that I didn't have any trouble getting it working...

I have had my R200 for over a year and am Very inpresed with it. It prints very high quality photo's, and also prints on printable cd's and dvd's. It is very easy to install the drivers and change the inks everytime you need to. It's compatible with WIN 98 ans later.
