Upon the recent purchase (and drinking) of a bottle of Ernest and Julio Gallo Chenin Blanc wine, is was so impressed I have decided to write a review. Noramally I would go for a Chardonnay when drinking white wine so it was a pleasant suprise when I tasted the Chenin Blanc. The grapes come from the Central Valley of California, at the foot of the Sierra mountain range. The Chenin Blanc grape typically produces a dry, crisp, versatile wine with a floral, honeyed, and zesty character.
