Essential Travel initially look good, its a competitive price and they make it very easy to puchase this on-line, however when you come to claim they make it so difficult that your insurance policy is practically worth less. First tactic - (if you ring up first) they tell you that you are not covered by the insurance policy you took out with them and will be unable to claim. Took money from my account with no authorisation. I used them for some insurance which was ok. But they stored my credit card details so they could purchase further policies for me without asking my permission. That's kind of like - eh? - stealing!! They won't allow me to cancel their latest purchase even though I noticed their theft and tried to cancel it the same day they made it. ...

I have had insurance from Essential Travel for a couple of years now, and have never had a problem. I found them online and chose them because their prices were the cheapest. It was also very easy to book exactly what I needed through their website as it was simple to use. Their customer services people were helpful too when I needed to claim earlier this year.
