Estee Lauder MagnaScopic

For Christmas, Craig (God love him) bought me a beautiful Estee Lauder box set filled with make up items and amongst them was a small version (3ml) of their Magnascopic Maximum Volume Mascara in black or shade 01, although it’s available in other colours Black/Brown, Rich Black, Rich Brown and Rich Navy. I normally use Clinique Mascara and for a few years have been quite happy with it but this little tube was an ideal size to take away to New York with me. Sorry, but I am not really keen on this product.....yes the packaging is very smart and yes it is very easy to use (but aren't all mascaras foolproof when it comes to useage??), but really £16.50 and all it seems to give me is spider's legs instead of lushious lashes!! Packaging: The wand itself comes in a blue and gold box (uniform Estee Lauder colours), very sophisticated looking! I wear glasses, so, I like to define my lashes, but don;t want 'panda' eyes. I used to use Estee Lauder's Illusionist mascara, which was great, but I found it didn't add enough volume to my lashes. So, when paying a visit to the Estee counter, I noticed the promotion for MagnaScopic mascara. I am always in search of the perfect mascara that lengthens without clumping and thickens without smudging and by god I've finally found it in the Estee Lauder MagnaScopic. The blurb from the Estee Lauder camp is that they leave lashes 300% thicker and that it has a special patented brush which is good for distributing colour evenly and after having heard only good things I decided to check it out myself. I was bought this by a gift which is lucky as i haven't really worn mascara that much before i got this. Now i've discovered what a difference can be made! I am very happy with this, it is in a lovely shaped tube that closes properly unlike others i have had... It feels like a good quality and sits in your hand well for easy application. It goes clumpy occasionally if you do two layers while the first is not dry, but i think most do this! It lengthens my lashes but mine are quite long anyway.
