Advantages: it's quite amazing!! Disadvantages: hard to find
...a day friend swears by Eucryl but it’s a damned elusive product. It’s not always available in chemists, so when you do see it, skint or no, go without food and life essentials if necessary and nab it because people buy it quick smart. If you think about maybe or maybe not buying it in the morning, it won’t be there in the afternoon. Well, not in the chemists that I'VE frequented.
GOT IT!!
Be still my beating heart, it was in the chemist last week. ... ...of a life. I used Eucryl INSTEAD of my toothpaste.
Not a whole lot to tell you here, except that it’s original flavour (but does come mint that I haven‘t actually seen myself, but check it out, why not) and so doesn’t exactly mint your breath up like toothpaste. It’s not a strong flavour at all, it’s very subtle and very much as you would expect with an Original flavoured dental product, like original mouthwash, but with a slight mintiness at the ...

Advantages: Good cleaning power Disadvantages: It's a powder!
After a visit to the dentist, hubby came home with this toothpaste, ready to get pearly white gnashers- they did actually already look pearly white but I do believe visits to the dentist spur you on and especially visits to the hygienist.
THE PROMISES…
This claims to be a powerful stain remover, first marketed in 1900. It is used to remove stains caused by smoking and drinking coffee and red wine.
So, if it can remove all those stains, it's got ... ...of coffee every day!
WHAT IS IT?
It is sold in a small square silver box with all instructions for use on the back. Open the box and there is a small pot inside with a pull up lid. This was looking less and less like toothpaste by the minute; I thought you squeezed toothpaste out of a tube! The product itself is pink powder with a very strong mint smell and when used, a strong mint taste.

This can be purchased in most chemists ...

...have I got?
This is Eucryl Smokers toothpowder, and it really only costs £1.09p in you local Savers. Eucryl is available in two formats; toothpowder and toothpaste. It is designed for smokers’ teeth. This review is on the original flavour powder. I was complaining recently to my mother in law that although my current toothpaste is a smokers whitener, it didn’t seem to work fast enough for an impatient soul such as I am. Her advice was that her husband ... ...and he used to use Eucryl toothpowder to combat the stains produced by nicotine. I suspected that the toothpowder would no longer be manufactured, or if so would be extremely expensive, seeing as it was such an effective product. Well, to cut a long story short, whilst browsing in the local Savers, I spotted on their shelves a rack of the boxes and bought one. There was a choice of the fresh mint flavour and the original one. I opted for the original. ...

Advantages: Cheap, effective, no real taste! Disadvantages: Not widely stocked, difficult to obtain!
...That is until I discovered Eucryl Toothpowder…
I first tried this wonderful product at a friends home… she had been using the stuff for years and said that she found it more abrasive and therefore more effective than ordinary toothpastes. After trying it for the first time, I could see exactly what she meant – my teeth felt so much smoother and cleaner; and I definitely noticed a change in whiteness, like all the staining from continuous smoking ... ...Way) to get myself some Eucryl – it cost me £1.29 per packet (of which I bought a considerable supply!).
Apparently, Eucryl is available is two flavours – although I have only tried the ‘Freshmint flavour’ as that is the only one I have ever seen on sale anywhere! Personally, I don’t think that it tastes anything like mint (!) – although the taste is far from unpleasant; and it doesn’t ruin the taste of my morning Red Bull!

...with, you must understand this. Eucryl is not one of those new-fangled toothpastes with 'added this' and 'new and improved that'. There are no miracle claims on the packet, and the packaging is all pretty low key. In fact, Eucryl tooth powder has been around since 1900...so they must be doing something right :)

Well, its a powder, not a paste, making it an interesting experience for the first time ... ...I'm a marketer's dream lol). +Summary+

...review on the tooth powder Eucryl - This product is meant for smokers to help de-stain their teeth.
I however am not a smoker nor never have been but I do have some stained teeth from drinking a lot of coke when I was younger.
I drank a lot of coke throughout the years, coke is very addictive and I can defiantly say I fell into that addictive bubble. I tried it one day and my teeth felt great afterwards - very soft and lickable - u no what I mean, you can run your tongue over them and it's soft and smooth - however there was no mirrir in the place so I didn't know how they looked.
Later on that day I went home and looked in the mirrir and I was shocked to see my teeth were shiny and looking ...

Advantages: Removes smoke stains from teeth Disadvantages: doesn't last very long.
Eucryl is toothpaste specially formulated to remove stains from the teeth of smokers, and having fallen of the No Smoking bandwagon I once again qualify to review this product.
When you smoke cigarettes small deposits from the smoke you are inhaling are left on the teeth, normal toothpaste does remove a certain amount of this but is not really very effective. If the problem is not addressed then your teeth are going to end up looking a dirty colour ... ...clean.
The tin of Eucryl that I purchased cost me 99p but I have since seen it in ASDA for around 89p, which is on a par with most toothpastes. Overall after using this for a while I have found that it does help keep the nicotine stains at bay better than ordinary toothpastes, It does however take a little bit of getting used too. ...

...'trying-to-quit' smoker, I started using Eucryl 6-7 years ago. At that time the only flavour I was aware of was 'original'. Which was comparable to 'Dentine' chewing gum (does anybody else remember that?). It did a brilliant job and I could see an improvement in a matter of weeks. ...across this stain remover called Eucryl and I decided to give it a try, to my amazement it was FANTASTIC, my dentist had told me that there was no toothpaste that would remove the stains from my teeth and that I would have to go to him every few months to get the stains removed so I was truly surprised when this did work.

Eucryl comes in a powder form and is in a round compact tub, you are supposed to use it once or twice a week, at first I used it everyday but when the stains on my teeth disappeared I have reduced it to once or twice a week and this seems to be enough to keep the stains away. hopefully for good.

Advantages: Removes stains brilliantly. Smokers this one is for you! Easy on the pocket. Disadvantages: Hard to obtain, Not as minty flavoured as say Colgate so best used in conjunction with another toothpaste
...as other toothpastes (particularly the Eucryl tube toothpaste) this means you need to use a little more of it than other.
Because I use it in conjunction with say Colgate, you would think that it would be a little on the expensive side, but if you weigh it up against the cost of other toothpastes who claim to remove stains (but don't!) it's still half the price.

I've tried this for teeth stained, not by smoking but red wine. It' supposed to clean both but it doesn't. Only a trip to a specialist dentist does that and so does the cost.
So much for cheap clean white teeth, it doesn't happen without a dentist help and large cheque ta boot!
