Earlier in 2009 I was made redundant from my job & started the process of looking for another. This was the first time in my working life I was without work. Things have changed considerably in the job market since the last time I looked for work & the stark realities of recruitment agencies have now been brought to my attention.
Since leaving school I have worked in the Motor industry, starting off as a humble apprentice ... ...working my way up to an Aftersales manager at a number of busy dealerships. I looked for another challenge around the mid 1990s & got a job as a regional manager for two car companies, one foreign & one British, jobs that I really enjoyed.

********I have decided to put my thoughts at the top of the old review, just to make it easier for me. Today, I was having a bit of a spring clean in the nursery. I am almost at the stage now where my baby could come at any time, so thought it would be a good idea to make sure I had cleaned the chest of drawers where the baby clothes will go. Upon opening the bottom drawer however, I found something I didnt know was still there.
... ...the corner of the drawer. I dont know how long I sat there on the floor, just looking at the little tiny sock, thinking of how he would be today if he were still here. I think he would have been quiet, like his Dad, but a great reader like me. A thoughtful boy, being almost at his 11th birthday, I am sure he would have had good friends, and just a very few close ones.

Chances are, the condition I am about to "review", is not going to be something you will have heard of. This is because it is a fairly rare condition, with only 1 in 75,000 babies born suffering from it, so it is not something you will readily come across unless you yourself know someone who suffers from it. The condition is called Russell-Silver syndrome, and I am someone who has this condition. I hope this piece of writing enlightens you about ... ...and outs of it.
Now, I should start by telling you what RSS actually is. It is basically a growth disorder, by which the sufferer is of short stature. I believe Janej47 started this and I figured I'd give it a go as I've not done any of her other challenges and I know how badly she'd like her challenges to catch on. So here we go... WHAT IS THE STRANGEST THING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN?
The first thing that comes to mind is a group of guys I saw about a year ago, all dressed identically and wearing identical wigs and fake beards, all walking around in a circle in the centre of Manchester. I never did ... ...it was some kind of crazy advertising stunt.
After a little more thought, I guess it would have to be my male friends in drag. I should stress that this doesn't happen often, but over the last two or three years we've had a fair few (4, I think) murder-mystery dinner parties. These things are invariably written for couples and as such have equal numbers of male and female characters, thus some of the guys end up dressed as gals. (Check out my Horton ...

Yes, this is a personal attack! Having had dealings with you from various perspectives over the years: a) ... ...a claim and sign on for a brief period of time, b) as someone dealing with long term job seekers referred by the job centre to my previous 2 employers and c) as someone who has known of so many people fiddling the system; I just had to voice my disgust at the lack of common sense, common courtesy and overall blasé attitude you display in general towards your duties and/or conning other hard-working people like myself.

It was a Sunday morning and as I stared at myself in the mirror (which I do a lot) I realised that my grey hair was making me look rather old. Now for anyone else that is ok but I can't be looking old when my chick has just returned reblonded and looking good..................
So a little trip over to Tesco and there on the shelf is what I am after, a temporary hair dye by Garnier Movida. Plus it's only ... ...a fiver. I pick it up and take it over to the counter and of course pretend I am on my mobile asking the chick if this is her hair dye ( I ain't looking like a big girl )…………….

The ramblings from the Mind of an older man.
Here I am at my personal computer typing away. This is something that I would never have imagined as a small child growing up in Cardiff. Just why people could find me interesting I am not sure. Perhaps it is the fascination of the awful.
Still if you want to know, I am about six foot in height. Large, rather than fat though the Doctors height/weight chart says that I am overweight but my chest has slipped ... ...on my head is now white as is most of my moustache and beard, That which isn't stained by excess coffee and cigarettes that is.
I would describe myself as early to mid decrepit having been born many years ago (exact number withheld).
I was born in South Wales in a working family; I have an elder sister but no younger siblings. My mother had a miscarriage after me, she never spoke of it and I never asked. Both my parents are now deceased as are ...

DOORS: Do not allow any doors to be closed in any room in the house.
Should a door be closed then stand on hind legs and hammer with forepaws, or alternatively scratch the door post with claws very loudly ... ...to being shouted out).
Once the door has been opened, it is not necessary to use it - at all, whatsoever.
After you have ordered a door which leads outside to be opened, make sure to just stand halfway in and out and be seen to think about several things. I was sitting at the table, going through my Christmas list
Trying to remember friends and family that I’d missed.
My memory is very poor so I tick off one by one
Until my Xmas cards are wrote to send to everyone.
But right on top of every list, there’s people gone before,
Family I will never see or welcome any more. First my mother then my dad, a place I cannot fill,
That makes my thoughts turn inwards and sometimes makes me ill.
My Granny ... ...niece that took her own life, at twenty-one, I fear.
My little nephew Paul, that passed away at three,
All these souls and many more those I used to see.
Each year I remember these, the ones I loved so well,
I try to keep their memories clear and not on fate to dwell.
But Christmas is for family and so my thoughts soon stray,
To all those that I cared for once and now have gone away.

Oh and yes I do have one and no I don’t regret buying it and rather than me going into details on how I use mine because I don’t want all you prudes out there giving me agro I will give you a few tips on buying!
1) Don’t go for the biggest, it’s not a dropping a sausage in a bucket ... ...the wind. Its about being comfortable and getting what you want.
2) When choosing the size, think about how big your man is. If he is too big (yeah right) go for something a little smaller, if he is too small, go for something a little bigger. A friendly note – don’t ask him to lob it out and then you get a tape measure out singing “mighty maggot here we go”

Rating a Ciao review is a very tricky, complicated business. The actual process is simple, but there are many factors you have to take into account before you choose between 'helpful' and 'very helpful'. I'd like to state now that if anyone who reads this feels the same/does any of the things I speak against, I'm not thinking of any of you in person. I don't look at you and think "you don't give out enough E's, you bastard" or "did you even read ... ...reference. I'm writing this with just general patterns in mind, so don't take anything personally. Don't hate me - I have so much to give!
So rating people is a harsh game of dare - if you rate them poorly, they'll hate you, if you rate them highly, they may stalk you for a few weeks before dating your sister and killing your rabbit.
