Young, gorgeous and sexy - and the PC's nice too

Advantages2 / 3 years onsite warranty. Knowledgeable support staff.

DisadvantagesDon't ring 'em at lunch time.

"...to a Mesh, Dell or Evesham machine. All three PCs had very similar features, and the Mesh had a wider choice of software bundled with it. In the end however, I was swung by Evesham’s after sales service. The other two had a 1 year onsite warranty, whereas the Evesham had a 2 year onsite followed by a year’s return to base, in addition to lifetime telephone support. A great deal, however even better was that for just an extra £30 I could extend ..." Read review

Repeat Offender

Advantagesrange, price, convenience

Disadvantagesnot many high street stores

"...opinions have been given about Evesham as an PC retailer, but I wanted to be first to offer an opinion specifically on their web presence. My experiences with Evesham began when I bought my first PC back in 1994. My friend and next-door-neighbour already had a PC from Evesham and, at the time, they offered great value for money with their extensive range of PC's. If I remember correctly, I ordered my first PC over the telephone. Since I never ..." Read review

When things go wrong - Evesham delivers

AdvantagesGood systems, knowledgeable staff, warranty

DisadvantagesFew stores in UK, but good website

"...I began researching alternatives, and Evesham consistently rated highly in the PC magazines and seemed to offer good spec for money options. I trundled off to my local Evesham shop (fortunately there is one local to me – although they only have about 15 nationwide) and was immediately impressed by the knowledge of the sales assistant and the time he was prepared to take demonstrating their systems and explaining the various options. The downside ..." Read review

My very first PC..

AdvantagesCompetetive prices, excellent support.

DisadvantagesThey have removed the no quibble 14 day money back guarantee.

"......MESH.....DAN.....EVESHAM. I finally decided on Evesham for various reasons. Firstly, their prices were very competetive. Secondly, I was able to mix and match a PC's components to my exact specifications and they were able to instantly give me a price quote for the system I had "built". Thirdly, the sales staff were definitely not patronising (Leeds Branch) and they never mentioned extended warranties like most other companies do in their ..." Read review

My Evesham Experiences

AdvantagesPricing, range/specs, helpful staff/tech support.

DisadvantagesNot a store in every town, RAM upgrade unavailable when I visited.

"...year (2002) I purchased an Evesham Voyager 5614 laptop from Evesham.com in Swansea (now relocated to the Evesham Microstore shop opposite the Grand Theatre). When considering which PC I was going to buy for university, there were a number of considerations. Chief amongst these were speed, size and price. I visited all the major PC retailers in my area, and online, and eventually decided that a laptop was my best bet, as it allowed portability ..." Read review

Vale were a wise choice for me

AdvantagesOn site two year warranty, freephone technical help

DisadvantagesNone

"...went for a PC from Evesham Micros. What helped me make my mind up was a two year on-site guarantee, I knew if anything went pear shaped with the equipment I would not have to lug it all around the country or parcel it up and suffer all the stress that goes with it. Armed with the specs from a PC magazine, I tootled down the Motorway, keyed up with excitement! I purchased from their Kings Norton branch, and I was unsure about the printer I wanted, ..." On the Rise - deservedly so

Advantagessuperb after-sales care; quality components

Disadvantagesa little more expensive, but well worth it

"...always had excellent support from Evesham when conflicts arose. It's not often I recommend suppliers to friends, especially when figures of over £1000 are changing hands, but felt comfortable to do so with regard to Evesham. I will shortly be taking delivery of my next all-singing-all-dancing machine, which will no doubt be out of date by May, but look forward to a lifetime of superb technical support with a quality-built computer. ..." Not Impressed

AdvantagesWide variety of products*, helpfull engineers

DisadvantagesWide variety of products*, bad refund strategy

"I bought a PC from Evesham in February of this year, intending for it to be available for my girlfriend to write essays and do coursework on in the run ups to her final year exams. After reading all the reviews i could find (computer shopper, PC shopper, etc, and this site), i was resonably confident of the quality of their machines. Thier website was very usefull, and we purchased a slightly modified Axis series PC (more RAM, a bigger Screen, etc) ..." Read review

Excellent quality at a good price

Advantagesexcellent quailty

Disadvantagesbit more expensive

"...PC purchase I bought from Evesham Vale was for over £2500, which was a lot of money and it was for a Top of the range PC at the time. Naturally I had concerns when placing the order as some places take ages and muck you around, Evesham is not one of these places. From the moment of placing the order I was treated very well and looked after as a customer, they obviously know how importany a happy customer is too them. The goods arrived quick ..." Read review

Poor service

AdvantagesExcellent computer and reasonable prices

DisadvantagesShop serve very poor, their Online servce may be better

"...own a three year old Evesham Vale prestige 233 and I liked their computers and service. According to their sales brochure delivery should be within ten days or they promise to call, after eleven days I called the shop to find out what was going on. I was told that there was a delay due the a lack of mother boards but that I should have the computer by the following Tuesday. On Wednesday I again had to call the shop and still the computer was not ready. ..." Read review

Not what they used to be

AdvantagesCan get good packages from them

DisadvantagesHave a tendancy to break down!

"I have known about Evesham computers since I was young, due to living in the Evesham area, and although I have not ever purchased a Vale computer myself, I know from various friends of the family that since they went Nationwide, their service and quality of their products has fallen dramatically! Back in the late 80’s to early 90’s what is now known as evesham.com was known as Evesham Micros, and was a small store in the town. They ..." Read review

Evesham are a victim of their own success

AdvantagesMostly reliable PCs, good value for money

Disadvantagespoor technical support, slow service and poorly rushed installation

"I bought a complete Evesham system from the internet a few months ago after several recommendations were made to me regarding their tempting prices, reliability and excellent technical support. I reckoned I didn't need the support as I work in this field anyway. How wrong I was! I was so excited when my brand new, super duper, hi-spec PC arrived. All I had to do was hook it up and it was ready to go. Much to my disappointment, after using the PC only ..." Read review

Support

AdvantagesGood service

DisadvantagesNot obviously sign posted (to me)

"I bought an Evesham PC in October to replace my old 266. The delivery was much anticipated and I had a fun time assembling it all especially the surround sound. Instructions were clear and accurate and it all worked. I regret not opting for the 19" monitor but have not any particular gripes the 17" - it is very good. I started to have problems with the system after christmas when I loaded more software onto it. The system just started to give ..." Read review

AdvantagesQuick and free

Disadvantagesit is a little more expensive

"...have bought a computer from evesham vale. The service to date has been above average and free, the hardware is of top quality. The speed of responses has been spectacular to say the least. I have only one slight concern, I cannot get the thing to work despite having had to reformat everything under their superb and free guidance, but the man is coming out this week to set it all up for me. I will let you all know how it goes. I don't know whether ..." Read review

No problems

AdvantagesReliable, FREE technical support, good machines.

DisadvantagesNone I can think of

"...a new pc from an Evesham showroom. I have to say I had been weighing up the various companies for months before hand. And when it came to it, it was between Mesh and Evesham. A friend (about a month earlier) had got a Mesh pc, she described how they had delivery problems, and the Mesh helpline was 50p per mintue. The guy in the Evesham show room obviously wanted a sale, and I did feel a little awkward. But that said, I bought the pc, knowing ..." Read review
