Programmed by a bunch of Monkeys

Advantages: Car modelling and physics, Track modelling, Presentation is good
Disadvantages: System Hog, Cars control like shopping trolleys, No Murray Walker... could be an advantage for some

...would recommend you open the F1 .ini file. You will find this in the folder for the game. You will see a number, something like: Machine = (a number from one to 5) reduce the number if you have bad performance Ok, now my recommended specification for this game: Athlon or P3 700mhz or above 256 megs of Ram or above 16mb graphics at least As you can no doubt tell from that, this game is a resource hog. Finally since I upgraded my comp I can run the ...
...Jim Rosenthal (the presenter of F1 from ITV) introduces the circuit. After the race he will also say a few little things. Other features ************** Replay mode is decent, the licensed music is all in their adding a sense of much needed class to the title. The physics of the game are good in my opinion. Spins, flips, rolls with you car are all possible, certainly adds an air of excitement to proceedings, or it would if: Gameplay ******** I have ...

Amazing graphics, but not so good game play

Advantages: great looks, and sound
Disadvantages: game play not the best ive ever experienced

...then there is EA Sports' F1 2000. Boasting all the trappings of the 2000 season (including the actual drivers, teams, and tracks), variable levels of play, realistic physics, and gorgeous graphics you simply can't get a better Formula One game than this puppy. Like the majority of Electronic Arts' games F1 2000 is one slick package, from beginning to end. The manual, while it looks rather thin, is chock full of useful information. Unlike some manuals ...
...if you like to play F1 2000 as a full blown sim and your wife just wants to play it like an arcade game you won't need to alter the realism options every time you sit down to play. Just change the profile and you're ready to burn rubber. There are several modes of play, ranging from Test Day (like it sounds this type of race is just to practice the various tracks and car configurations) to the Championship (the full race circuit) mode. Since F1 ...

F1 2000 On Pole!

Advantages: Very realistic
Disadvantages: A bit addictive

F1 2000 is a very good and realistic game based on the motor sport Formula 1. The graphics are superb and the cars actially look like F1 cars... unlike other F1 games where they look like a pointed box with 4 wheels. The gameplay is superb and every is so real... the cars, background, pitlane, gameplay and you actually feel like you're driving a F1 car. F1 2000 is definetly a very good game and you should definetly try this game out, but once ...

Rushed. And It Shows.

Advantages: 2000 Season.
Disadvantages: Unplayable, graphically poor and inefficient, inaccurate data, dubious physics, no longevity.

...little more practice at making F1 games. The physical representation of the F1 world in ‘F1-2000’ is terrible. The cars are extremely simple to drive and the tracks stripped of any challenging elements. Sitting down to complete a full race distance in this game is not an appealing prospect. The developers make a number of small but significant oversights that greatly compromise the game’s attempts to be entertaining. For example, the qualifying mode ...
...and out of proportion. ‘F1-2000’ was clearly rushed to sell loads of copies by being the first F1 game to feature the new seasons’ data. The whole game engine and mechanism needs vast improvement before it can rival the likes of ‘Grand Prix 3’ and ‘Grand Prix Legends’. ...

Racing to the top

Advantages: Ferrari ,Gaphics , Realism,Cars
Disadvantages: Mclaren,Commentary

Formula 1 2000 must be the most accurate simulation of formula 1. From the cars to the teams it is pure exceellence although the commentary is something to think about as it gets quite annoying with the pit crew balabbering in your ear. The graphics make up for it and every race you can sproose up your car as much as you want. The sound isnt great but I guess the feel of racing as one of your best drivers is enough. The one thing got me worried ...
...go faster than Micheal Shumacher (hmmm) that is one of the few flaws. There are a few glithes and I wouldnt reccomend it to any non Racing or Formula1 fan but if you enjoy this kind of thing I highly recommend it. This game is well worth a look at and spend a little bit of your time to get into it trust me you will really enjoy it. Sorry if anything I say offends any mclaren fans but I am a Ferrari fan through thick and through. ...

Best F1 Sim Ever

Advantages: Great Realism
Disadvantages: Hard to Get to Grips with

One word comes to mind: CLASS. Okay, so the steering is abit like that of a tank and there are a few glitches in the driver Al, but otherwise this game is just class.I love the innovation of pit lane assitance off(and being able to spectacularly spin off other drivers!) The tracks and scenary are incredible and the general graphics are to me, miles better than Grand Prix 3. Add to the equation the excellent multiple car models and a vitual cockpit ...

The Best Racing Game Out Yet !

Advantages: Graphics & Sound
Disadvantages: Hard to master the controls

F1 2000 Formula One 2000 is a must for all racing fanatics really. It's an enjoyable game with blistering 3D graphic rendering. It has all of the latest statistics, cars and teams in the game as well as fast gameplay. This game can be quite boring thought because the computer automatically changes gears, brakes and makes adjustments to the car without doing anything Overall this is a up-to-date simulation that's has great pliability especially with ...

...the latest installment of EA's F1 series and it is without a doubt the best ever! The graphics are truly in a class of their own. The cars’ wing mirrors and the lifelike water on the Monaco course are particularly impressive. It goes without saying that you’ll need a fairly powerful graphics card to get the full benefit of F1 2000’s stunning visuals, but many of the more advanced display options can be turned off without greatly affecting the gameplay. ...
...lack of clutter is deceptive: there is, in fact, a vast number of options to choose from. Diehard Formula One fans can elect to tweak their cars with any of a large selection of technical and customisation options. If you are playing the game for the first time then dont fear, there is steering and braking assists and also spin recovery, which is a good thing. All the grand prix circuits of the Formula One championship are featured; the season’s ...

F1 2000 is the best driving game i have ever played. To be able to hurtle round silverstone in 1 of 22 different liveried formula 1 cars, you can almost feel the wind on your helmet!!!! This game could have been so much better, normally EA get there releases spot on when it comes to games, however this game needs a excellent graphics card a massive processor to run at even a decent speed - If you have got anything less than a Pentium III 450 forget it as it will run but will be jurky to say this least - The graphics in the game are similar to that of superbikes 2000 - not that impressive even when using a powerful graphics card. ...

F1 2000

Advantages: are it’s brilliant graphics and realism.
Disadvantages: it needs a good computer to run the game to the best of it’s ability.

F1 2000 In my opinion F 1 2000 is by far the best racing simulator I have played on. It takes a big P.C. to run the game, but when installed the action comes to life. Racing with the best of Ferrari and McLaren makes the racing action more realistic. To appreciate the graphics to the full you will need a good quality computer and if you don’t have one you may feel disappointed with the game.
