Advantages: Great manager mode Disadvantages: Can be slow loading
I have always been a FIFA fan but recently started taking an interest in PES. FIFA 08 on the PSP in my opinion is the best football game out there.
--Gameplay--
FIFA 08 comes with a new range of game modes: Kick-Off - Normal exhibition game where you can play with any club or country in any stadium in the world.
Football IQ - Allows you to answer all different sorts of questions in 4 different categories (Local Game, National Cup, International ... ...all the new additions to FIFA 08 this is by far the most fun football game on a PSP I have ever played. I currently have a team in manager mode, play exhibition games, work on my football IQ and regularly try to improve on my juggling and wall attack scores.
--Reliability--
Very reliable game never had a problem and always runs as smoothly as hoped.
--Game controls--
The game controls are great although I have not yet got to grips with the off ...

Being a very big fifa fan from my PS2, i was very excited about getting this game: the prospect of being able to play one of my favourate games wherever and whenever i wanted (as long as my battery was charged).
Starting the game up threw me with familiar game logod like previous fifa editions, and then started the music. Obviously because of the storage space of the UMD discs, you would expect much less music too be included, although suprisingly, ... ...good as my old PS2 fifa games which i find to be quite amazing given the size of the PSP itself.
Controlling the players i found to be quite sluggish, not repsonding to some things i wish it to do. This problem i soon started to overcome though as i began to play the game more and more, scoring more and more goals.
I particularly like the manager mode however, having the ability to modify the team in every way, bringing in new players and controlling ...

Advantages: gameplay is good, nice presentation, official kits , good replay value, lots of extras Disadvantages: a few bugs here and there , online play isnt very good

Fifa on the other hand has all the presentation but lacked the game play.
Fifa 2008 on the other hand has good gameplay and nice presentation
which i didn't expect.
But it does have some cons:
Online play is awful mostly because its lagy, makes you want to throw your PSP at someone(luckily im not a fan of online gaming on sports anyway), but also online play will cut out 70% of the time.
Also a few glitches here ...
