OK-ish FIFA debut on the Wii

Advantages: Online play, nicely presented
Disadvantages: Average gameplay, no career mode

EA's first FIFA title for the Nintendo Wii has been the subject of quite some excitement in the run-up to its release- and while it doesn't quite manage to live up to the highest hopes of gamers, it doesn't completely disappoint, either. As you'd expect from a FIFA title, most of the details are great- the soundtrack, the available clubs, kits, likenesses are all there. Right down to the way that Wayne Rooney runs on the ball. There are some new, ...
...control mode, which makes it easier for casual players (yes, like your Dad) to pick up and play a multiplayer game with you. There's the challenge mode, featuring real-life scenarios for you to play out. But most strikingly, there are three mini-games. The first is 'Juggle'- you assist your Mii is a game of keepy-uppy, by following on-screen instructions at the right moment, dance-mat style. There's 'Boot-It', a sort of penalty-shootout with power ...

Fifa 08 for the Wii Review

Advantages: Another great game in the Fifa francise.
Disadvantages: No career mode :(

...Sports produces a hit with Fifa and makes the end of each year anticipated for the release of the newest addition of Fifa and this year its on the Wii! The first screen menu you will see has all the usual like Play Now and Tournament and My Fifa however the one that stands out the most is Footi Party in multicolored lettering. This consists of 3 brand new exclusive football party games to the Wii. Your guide for the new games is a Mii version of ...
...game, as on all the Fifa genre games the first button you come across on the menu is Play now this is just the same as all the previous Fifas so there's nothing to discuss there. However many fans would be disappointed to know that there is no career mode in the first Fifa Wii. The career mode gave the player the fun and excitement of managing a football club though every season however this has been scraped. Although many new features have been ...

Fifa 08: This is your time to shine

Advantages: Addictive Gameplay
Disadvantages: Controls are hard to memorize

This is a game that has many different modes. There is a mode called Footie Party that is new to the game this year, there is the Table Football which uses the wii remote as the handle. There is also Keepie Uppies, this evolves flicking the remote in the intended direction. and then shoot! where you flick the remote where you wish tot kick the ball as you save the balls or try to score against footballing legend Ronaldinho. But the casual gameplay ...
...moves your player around and you just pass and shoot. But the real thrill of the gameplay is when you use the nunchuck as well. The ability to tricks such as 360's and others adds more fun, by swinging the nunchuck down this allow you to slide tackle the player of shoot. With the ability to choose easily on which type of shot that is wished to do. Game modes involve the online mode which allows you to try and build your ranking by playing as any ...

Very Good

Advantages: enjoy using your wrist, everyone can enjoy it
Disadvantages: Bad graphics

The Fifa 08 on the wii is basically playing football on the playstaition; but you don't have to bother with the remote; you can do it all with a flick of the wrist. As it has been said many times it plays like the whole family can enjoy playing it. It is much better than on the playstation; because you do it with the flick of the wrist and you feel alot more involved in the game than u do pressing buttons. The bad points are; not as good graphics ...

Fifa 08 (Nintendo Wii)

Advantages: Good game play
Disadvantages: No career mode!!

This is a great game quite difficult to get used to the settings at first but once you have got them your off. Its great how you can move the ball around the field it took me a while to figure everything out and have still not figured out all the special moves and stuff as yet. So thats it you can play and play the game but still learn new things everytime. The shooting is good the tackling is better the passing of the ball is direct and can move ...
