...had owned and played many FIFA games. Since 1998 I have bought the latest update almost every year. So yes, I do have a fair amount of loyalty to the brand but I have always given other games a chance (aswell as purchasing some of them, Pro Evollution). I have owned Fifa 08 for 1 week and have to say I think it's great. The pace of the game is much slower than Fifa 07 which needs some getting used to but doesn't spoil the game in any way. This is my first Fifa game for a number of years and I have to say I am very impressed. The game looks the part and the gameplay is impressive. The game has great offline modes, with the new Be a Pro offline training mode which is excellent. FIFA is a classic game that has moved on in leaps and bounds through the last 5-10 years. I also have FIFA 2002 and FIFA 2004 for the PC, and FIFA 08 has stepped up so much from it's predecessors. FIFA 08 may be better than those of the same label that came before it however it is still not quite at its best. I own this game on the XBOX 360 and was disapointed at how dull it truly was. The amount of player details and background history you can search for is amazing.
