Goals Galore
Review of FIFA 98 (PC) by OwenP

Advantages: Realistic, not too fast, very playable
Disadvantages: Becomes a bit easy

...more commercial games such as Fifa 99 and Fifa 2000, this one has the edge. It is altogether more realistic than the others, from the way the players move to the transfers. The speed of the game runs very smoothly and is not too fast. In my opinion, this is where the later releases faulter - they are unrealistically fast. There are a reasonable number of options from a League to World Cup qualifiers (all obviously set out to the France 98 World Cup). ... Read review

Brilliant game - here are my tips
Review of FIFA 98 (PC) by SpikeIsland

Advantages: Great budget game
Disadvantages: Boring after a while

I bought Fifa 98 after the owrld cup and it is my favourite football game. After a while I got pretty good at it and i could win any game easily. I started off playing Brazil. Ronaldo is the ebst player in the game and it can be fun for a hwile running circles round players with him. However that starts to wear after a while. If you want to make the game last I suggest you try playing games betwen strange combinations of teams. For instance, my favourite ... Read review

Footie madness
Review of FIFA 98 (PC) by Sparkz2005

Advantages: Great addictive fun, good commentry
Disadvantages: annoying controls without keypad, easy when you know scoring patterm

I used to own this game on the pc and n64 so i thought i would give a review of the pc version. As every fifia game up to this one has had it all, gameplay, graphics and addictiveness and that hasnt changed here. You can [play as club teams or world teams and choose to have a practice game, league, training. The best mode to play in is league for most players due to its more competetive as you try to beat other teams to the top of the table. The ... Read review

the Greatest
Review of FIFA 98 (PC) by zef

Advantages: graphics playability better than all the other FIFA's
Disadvantages: you need to get a upgrade to solve the pathetic shot situation

I love this game. The graphics look better than FIFA2000 and it plays better too. You feel more in control of the player and can score brilliant goals. You can do leagues or world cup and there are web sites with patches to udate players and kits. Only one problem that is when you lead the computer about 3-0 the computer will start taking pathetic shots at your goalie like back passes, although there is a patch to correct this. It is also a tab slow ... Read review

The best FIFA game
Review of FIFA 98 (PC) by Yeahmate

Advantages: Good gameplay, range of teams
Disadvantages: when computer teams are losing they are very bad

I've got most of the FIFA games, including World Cup 98, this, FIFA 99, FIFA 2000 and Euro 2000, but this surprisingly enough is the best. Although now it is a bit out of date, the gameplay and graphics (I think) are still the best. It might not be too realistic, but this doesn't matter really, and Euro 2000 was very disappointing. FIFA RTWC 98 has over 100 international teams, in fact every country who entered the World Cup, and 10 different leagues, ... Read review

7 yrs old and still good!
Review of FIFA 98 (PC) by bonneyboy

Advantages: Amazing indoor fun
Disadvantages: ok its 7 years old....

I'm a fifa addict, i have every fifa football game ever made, and so I know quite a bit about each version, and I can honestly say, graphics aside, 98 RTWC is the best game fifa have produced. Long before 'pro evo' surfaced fifa dominated the football computer game market. Ok yes, compared with pro evo 4 and fifa 2005 the graphics aren't amazing, but it isn't why i'm writing this review. If it was then it would make me a fool as I can't begin ... Read review

Good Budget game
Review of FIFA 98 (PC) by rupom

Advantages: Indoor stadium, cheats
Disadvantages: graphics, very easy to master

...games, who cannot run either FIFA 2000 or FIFA 99, should seriously consider purchasing thi very playable game. Although relatively poor graphics by todays standards, the gameplay is fun, especially with the cheats and inddor stadium, which has since been removed from the later versions of this game. I bough this when it was released, in 1998, and had almost a year on excitement and fun from this game. So, anyone who has a low ernd PC and does ... Read review

FIFA at its best
Review of FIFA 98 (PC) by matt_hughes

Advantages: Great gameplay and so many teams to choose from
Disadvantages: none

This is the best fifa game by far. The number of teams to choose from is econd to none. The road to the world cup section is the best ea idea ever so many teams and so my different areas to choose from. forget the super graphics on FIFA 2001 FIFA 98 road to the world cup is the best gameplay ona n ea game in the world ever. If you can't score in this game you need to give up playing computer games simple to understand and easy to play. If you want ... Read review
