Advantages: Wonderfully realised "freedom" concept, delightful graphics Disadvantages: Too short, limited playing area
...things, but the boasts of Fable are especially notable. "For every choice, a consequence", reads the tagline; this is a game about freedom. At its most essential level, the decision is one between good and evil - but there is so much more than that going on as you forge your destiny in Albion. If you choose to follow the dark side, will you become a feared warrior, crushing all in his path? Or a legendary Sorceror, dark magic crackling at your fingertips? ... ...to the kinds of choices Fable will offer you - it's your sister's birthday, and you've forgotten to get her a present. No fear - your father has a proposal; perform a number of good deeds, and he'll give you the money to buy one. Amongst the deeds on offer is that of finding a girl's lost teddy (Yup, this is the big time ...). You'll discover it in the possession of a small boy on the other side of town, who is being tormented by a bully. So ... ...

Advantages: Interesting to play | Looks and sounds lovely Disadvantages: Not long enough | Not much of the main game
...Read a game about Fable and you’ll no doubt get his name mentioned a few times so I may as well follow suit. There is no denying the brilliance of the man. He gave us games such as Theme Park and Dungeon Keeper both true classics. However, bless him, he can get a bit excitable when discussing his new games. Telling us so many excellent features that soon the hype is so high the end product can’t compete, which was the case with his last game Black ... ...Although Fable was developed by Big Blue Box (a division of the Molyneux-run Lionhead group) Molyneux was still prominent in design and the hype machine was in full swing once again.
Fable has been touted as one of the big games for the Xbox ever since the console was released. Like most of the big games for the console it’s taken its damn sweet time arriving but now it’s finally here. Formally known as Project Ego, Fable sees you create a name ...

Advantages: Compulsive, Good graphics, Fun to play, Good value Disadvantages: Some targetting issues and glitches, too short
Fable is an award winning game which took 4 years in the making and was, prior to it's release date, the most anticipated RPG (Role Playing Game) to hit the Xbox charts. There was a tremendous hype about the game, and about what new and exciting game features it would sport, and most of that has not been unfounded as you'll see. Not playing to the usual, generic ideas as to how an RPG should be designed (graphically i mean), such as the renowned ... ...CONCLUDE:
A fantastic game, Fable should be right at the top of your list of single player games for Xbox. Whilst it won't take you an age to complete, it's worth buying for the price it's at now (around £20), and you will probably replay it again and again (as good, then evil, then neutral etc!) Rated 16+, it's pretty harmless if a little gorey, but the violence is trivialised by it's caracature style so i'd advise that anyone 12 upwards would ...

Advantages: Great Story, Great Game Play, Very Immersing, Lots of in game activites Disadvantages: Allied AI could use some touching up
Fable is a 'middle earth' type story released on the Xbox and PC.
Essentially the game allows you freedom, the freedom to make choices and take good or evil choices depending on which path you would prefer. These choices affect your characters appearence and reaction from the pulic. For example, become a good person and your characters hair and face will change to lighter colours and if you become very good a halo appears above your head and the ... ...become streaked with black veins and your eyelids will turn red and your eyes will start to look piercing, if you are very evil you will sprout horns and the public will fear you.
You start off as a child in a small village known as Oakvale. You live with your father, mother and your sister. Bandits then attack your village, kill your family and all the villages inhabitents and burn the village to the ground. A mysterious character known as 'Maze' ...

...clearly for yourself just what Fable has to offer you. Now that the elongated metaphor is over, it's down to the review…
The first thing you notice when this disk loads is that Fable is truly a beautiful game. The highly detailed characters look excellent, whilst the varied environments are sometimes breath taking. Sometimes you just want to take in the view around you, admiring the beautiful water effects, but, importantly, you are not restricted ... ...feeling of immersion.
In Fable you play as a 'hero', taking various quests from the hero's guild as you progress through the game, increasing your renown until you become something of a celebrity in the mythical world of Albion. Albion itself exists in a time of magic and monsters, hero's and villains, and you have to choose which path you want to tread. Choose the good path and the citizens of Albion will cheer and applaud your presence, while ...

Advantages: stunning graphics, amount of freedom you get Disadvantages: very short, not much of a plot, lots of loading times
====INTRODUCTION====
Fable is Big Blue Box's latest submision to the world of gaming. It is an RPG like no other, apperently it is unparralelled in the amount of freedom the user has, you can actually choose if your character is good or bad AND this will have conciquences in te game.
But is it true?
====WHAT IS FABLE?====
Well pretty much as said above, Fable is a new breed of RPG. It still has the classic 3rd person view and is still a classic ... ...majore twists. Basicly every thing you do either gets you "good deeds" or "bad deeds". For example, donating money to the temple of light is obviosly good, but sacraficing people at the devils temple is obviosly bad. But this isnt just for show, these points are very important. The more "good deeds" you have, people will sell you things cheaper, will like you more and generally like to be around you. But the more bad deeds you have, people will raise ...

Fable!
Fable has been one of the most anticipated xbox games around. It comes across as an attempt to get an online freeform openended RPG, into a single player offline format.
It almost succeeds.
Graphically the game is superb. Loads of variety and detail, and all looking as shiny as you could want.
Sounds are also very good and immerse you well into the surroundings. Voice acting also works well, though can feel slightly stilted at times.
... ...like the ability to get your hair cut into different styles, or get a tattoo. You can also get married, and fart at people.
One of the most innovative aspects is the concept of good and evil. You can choose your own path, with your actions affecting how people think of you. be good and you can get a halo. Be bad, and small children will run from you.
So how does this all work in practice...
No where near as well as it could, unfortunately.
The ...

Advantages: Fancy graphics, intuitive controls Disadvantages: Extraordinarily easy, poor story, far too short, far too little to do
I can't stand over-rated and over-hyped games. Especially when you pay £40 for that game once it comes out, and it's just barely average. Oh well, onto the review.
Graphics: 9/10
Extremely good graphics, and fancy graphical effects. You can change your appearance at will (hair cuts, facial hair, tatoos), as well as your appearance changing in relation with your moral alignment. All in all, good graphics.
Gameplay: 5/10
I won't deny that there's ... ...you are limited to are, but it is still extremely short. You can complete the main quest within ten hours, and you could complete everything there is to do in the game in fifteen. My next problem in this area is that it is how easy the game is. You could complete the game bare handed and stripped to the Union Jack boxers. All it takes is for you to concentrate on leveling up fireball, push, and your MP. The last boss takes a grand total of five minutes ...

Fable begins in the town of Oakvale with you as a Young boy, a good beginning as you become familiar with the Good & evil points you will pick up through the game, you will find immediately as you gracefully kick chickens into the odd passer by being good gets you the admiration of those around you, being evil gives you the scare factor and slowly as you progress down your dark path people become scared of you and run for there life screaming when ... ...the creature attacking. Advantages: Enthrilling game Disadvantages: Short lifespan
Fable was being tipped by the media to be the best RPG game ever. The media got so big the developers of the game were forced to release the game earlier than planned as it was not yet finished due to public demand for the game to be released.
Because the game came out earlier than the developers wanted it to there was obviously going to be some flaws in the game. The game was cut short and slices of the game were taken out to make the story all ... ...under 10 hours to complete Fable which is terribly quick as the best of the RPG games on the shelves have gameplay for up to around 50 hours.
So the game doesn't have much gametime which is a big bummer, but that doesn't mean the 10 hours of you playing that game is boring. As you go through the game you will see yourself tackling wasps to balverines as you take each quest as it comes and try to become the best warrior in Albion. When you are not ...

Advantages: Great graphics, bonus missions, personality changeable Disadvantages: short
Fable is brilliant game, with stunning scenerys and many different missions. You can also, to some extent, determine your fate. The story starts with a light-hearted theme. Your first mission is to buy your sister a birthday presant.
As to not ruin the story, you have to move out, train to be a hero and complete many missions. There is not much of a main storyline to this game, which is disappointing, but this is because there are so many side missions.
... ...as magical powers, strength and skill. This gives you the choice to be a champion swordsman, bowman or magician.
Of course, there are problems with this game. Firstly it's very short, so short that it makes you wonder if you have really got your moneys worth.
Secondly, no matter how evil your character becomes, he will still be allowed in the towns, be able to buy items from shops and is able to do the same missions a hero would do.
Conclusion:

Advantages: Huge free-roaming world Disadvantages: Length of main Storyline/Quest
Being a great fan of Zelda games, I'm always looking for a Role Playing Game that will match up to the Legend of Zelda. In fable, I found one that I think comes about as close to being as good as the Zelda series as possible.
In Fable, You follow the story of a young hero and the chooses of good or evil laid out in front of him, the great thing about this game is the fact that you can actually shape the way the game is played by following either ... ...evil - the game itself reacts to the actions you take as your character.
The storyline to this games is of standard length and if you stick to just this mission's the game can be finished quite quickly, however, as with most great RPG's the real fun of the game is to be had in just exploring the vast world in which it's set and completing mini missions.
Although this is an xBox game the graphics and gameplay stand nicely alongside anything that ...

Advantages: Easy to use controls and interesting storylines Disadvantages: Not as good graphics as I was expecting
Well, when I first bought this game I thought I was in for a great time, however, it wasn't what I expected. I love RPG's especially on the gamecube, but this was nothing like what I wanted really. The Xbox already lacks the ability to provide its gamers with proper RPG material never mind this spin off of a PC game. Anyone who has played Black and White for the PC will enjoy this game. I must admit the storyline is pretty good and at least in this ... ...being lead down the path by the game creator. This game has a less welcoming appearance compared to other RPG's, I felt that I less liked it as it was more gritty and dull looking compared to brighter, more futuristic games. I wasn't taken in by this game as it isn't the kind of thing that I am into, I prefer escapism and a little bit of a challenge which I felt this lacked. The idea of having ...

Fable on of the best RPG `s to date tries to create a real RPG atmosphere and succeed with a lot of style. GAMEPLAY: When your first pick up and play fable you notice that the game is relaxed at the start to help you get into the game better the fighting is simple and easy to do.
