...right analogue in. ==GAMEPLAY== Fahrenheit is played like an interactive film, as you now know you control the two detectives Carla and Taylor, plus Lucas Kane and also his brother. Controlling anything from there moving, what they do and what they say to others is down to you. Each action has an ending to it, for e.g you in a park, and Lucas gets a vision of a small boy falling into the icy cold water, knowing that there is the officer of the ...

Quantic Dream's Interactive Movie: Is it any cop?

Advantages: Unique, intriguing plot
Disadvantages: 2nd half of the game seems to drift

Fahrenheit could be described as the most succesful interactive movie game on a console thus far. I purchased this sometime in 2007 and my first thoughts on it was that isn't wasn't anything special. However it was unique in the sense that I hadn't played anything like it previously but at some points I found the story hard to follow. Even though it was a little confusing at first it intrigued me and is now in my collection of classic games. ==The ...
...==Conclusion== Fahrenheit is a great game that should be experienced by every game fan who enjoys something new and an enjoyable plot. Heavy Rain, a game made by Quantic Dream, will be out in 2010 and I know I will be getting myself a copy. Overall an 8/10 for this enjoyable and fascinating game. ...

Fahrenheit: Brilliant but has a disappointing ending.

Advantages: Interesting plot idea, great game play, graphics, sound track, believable characters.
Disadvantages: Plot trails off near end, the painful problem of having to tap L1 R1 quickly.

...I've always been interested in Fahrenheit after seeing an advert for it in a magazine ages ago. I spent awhile looking for it in second hand shops so I could try it out with out having to pay too much in case it was awful and I finally found it. It certainly wasn't awful but unfortunately it wasn't as long as I hoped it would be. Fahrenheit is similar to a typical action movie, there are fighting scenes, car chases, murders and 'romance' scenes ...
...met one another around half an hour ago. Lucas Kane, an ordinary man, kills a complete stranger in a restaurant's bathroom. While hiding from the police, Lucas discovers that he was in fact possessed and that through the ritualistic killing he is now able to see visions from the future, but the person who possessed him now needs to sever all connections to the murders. Lucas must now find out why all of this is happening while police officers Carla ...

A Brilliant Paranormal Thriller

Advantages: Story, Voice Acting, Controls
Disadvantages: Camera

Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) is a paranormal thriller game created by Quantic Dream who are known for their other title "Omikron" and their upcoming game "Heavy Rain". Story/Plot; The story starts off in the restroom of a cafe. Where the main character Lucas Kane is in a possed trance and brutally stabs a man to death. When he regains conciousness he leaves the scene in confusion. This is where two more main characters are introduced, detective ...
...both roles. Controls; Fahrenheit is quite similar to a point and click adventure game that you would fine on a PC. However the controls for this game have become setted up to be more console friendly. The movement of the character is used with the left analogue stick whilst actions will be performed with the left analogue stick. The developers try to use as less of the face buttons as possible. The end results is a quite comfortable control set-up. ...

Fahrenheit

Name of the game: Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) Platform: PC, also available on PS2, Xbox Genre: Adventure My points: 8 Comments: Let's start by clarifying the name issue. The U.S. version is called Indigo Prophecy while the European version is called Fahrenheit. I will be calling the game Fahrenheit from now on. I would imagine that this is a game you either love or hate. The developers have taken really ambitious approach to the game and I'm ...
...you decide the action. In Fahrenheit that is kept fairly simple and you usually have only one or two things you can do with a certain object. Conversations too are done slightly differently. You only have certain amount of time to pick what you are going to say next. Most of the time you are going to get to your objective eventually with saying just about any of the choices but especially with our newborn killer the choice may decide between getting ...

Another Hidden Gem

Advantages: Original Storyline
Disadvantages: Too short

Although this games has not had a lot of popularity I believe it to be one of the best games I have played, and it is much different from other games by miles. The whole game is like an interactive movie where you can choose what you do and say, which in turn effects how the story runs. Everything that you do has a consequence, even having a drink or water. If you make the wrong option then your character can become depressed and if you fail to ...
...and scary, with twists and turns which will have you gripped for hours playing it. The story starts with a you (Lucas) going to the toilet, whilst you are minding your own business you become possessed and violently attack and murder a man in the bathroom. You have to clean up and escape before a policeman in the bar comes to investigate. You have to make sure that Lucas escaped the police whilst playing the police characters to solve what actually ...

Prepare to be chilled

Advantages: Gripping story, keeps you involved
Disadvantages: Controls make the game quite difficult at times

...end. For the most part, Fahrenheit is one of those games. The plot is gripping, the mechanics are quite impressive and the gameplay is stunningly involved. The game puts you in the role of Lucas Kane, a man who finds himself in the bathroom of a cafe standing over a recently murdered corpse. Your role at the beginning of the game is to get rid of anything incriminating before leaving the cafe without being caught by the police officer sat at a neighbouring ...
...loses morale? Besides that, button-bashing minigames can occasionally become very difficult, particularly towards the end. Otherwise, Fahrenheit is a refreshing addition to any PS2 gamer's collection. The multiple endings will doubtlessly add longevity to the game for enthusiasts, but this game should interest most gamers at least once through. ...
