These Hands Aren't Made For Washing

Advantages: Cleaning power
Disadvantages: Size, shape, PRICE

...spotted half price offer on Fairy Active Bursts, what I didn’t realise was that the offer only applied to bags on 30 tablets. When I got to the checkout it was a little more than I expected but I didn’t think much of it but I soon realised that I’d paid full price for my Active Bursts but by that point I wasn’t bothered anyway. The half price promotion means that 30 Fairy Active Bursts will cost you £3.38, a full price bag of 45 will cost you £8.98 ...

No Gremlins in here

Advantages: It really works
Disadvantages: A bit pricey

...on a dishwasher detergent! Fairy active bursts are a new product from those people at Procter and Gamble, now normally I wouldn't get excited enough about any form of cleaning product to be inspired to tell you about it but this one is different - it actually works. I first came across these as part of one of the rare surveys I actually qualified for and I was sent 3 of these little capsules to try in my dishwasher. I am a born cynic, and will ...
...***What are they*** Fairy Active Bursts are small dishwasher pouches which Fairy call pods; each pod is sealed in a plastic wrapper and contains a measured amount of dishwasher powder, a small amount of scented rinse aid and salt. As well as glass protection and metal shine. This is great for me because my dishwasher is constantly crying out for salt and rinse aid, however often I fill it up it never seems to last very long. With this product you ...

Advantages: Easy to use, no mess, no wrappers
Disadvantages: Pricey!

...liquid. We then came across Fairy Active Bursts from Procter & Gamble. We chose these as opposed to any other brand because it state on the packaging 'If you cannot fit these in your dosing drawer, place in the cutlery rack', so we picked up 2 packs, one of the original, green liquid variety and one of the other lemon liquid variety. We bought 2 small packs, these contain 15 little tablets each (weight 295g), priced at £3.48 each from Tesco online ...

...buy and would only buy Fairy Washing Up Liquid so I was very pleased when I happened upon Fairy Active Bursts Lemon on offer in my local supermarket. The Fairy Active Bursts come in a plastic pouch type bag; the packet is the same green colour that I would associate with Fairy Washing Up Liquid. There is a see through panel on the front of the pouch and you can see the active bursts inside. This is a detergent for the dishwasher but it is not the ...
...powder type substance and a liquid, all contained in a little plastic pocket. The pack I have is lemon therefore the liquid in each pack is yellow, the pockets are little self-contained units and do not have to be opened before being put in the dishwasher, the plastic outer coating dissolves during the wash. The bumph on the front of the pouch claims that this product is “all in one” and provides: • Fairy cleaning • Rinse aid action • Salt action ...

If it's Ok for the Queen then it 's Ok for me!

Advantages: Dishwasher detergent in a disolvable pouch
Disadvantages: Need a dishwasher!

My Mum used Fairy washing up liquid and I still have a bottle for those odds and ends that need washing by hand, so Fairy is a name I trust. When I saw a new product on the shelves at half price for an introductory offer I bought it! I didn't need it as I had boxes of dishwasher tablets in the cupboard but I can't resist a bargain! Every time I opened the cupboard under the sink I saw the Fairy baby on the front of the re-sealable packet and decided ...
...green as you expect with Fairy Liquid, my bag has a bright red stripe with ½ price written on it, and the centre has a Fairy bubble with the name FAIRY active bursts for dishwashers. Fairy is manufactured by Proctor and Gamble who are Manufacturers of Soap and Detergents by Appointment to the Queen. There is a picture of the little pouch and the Fairy baby is squirting the sparkling stars from a bottle of Fairy into the pouch! Just like a touch of ...

Everyone Deserves A Little Luxury !

Advantages: Sprakly Clean
Disadvantages: A Little Expensive

My little luxury is my dishwasher, and have had one now for 5 years and would not be without it. I've been using the solid powder tablets ever since I've had it but recently spotted the new active bursts pouches. These are relatively new and I thought I'd give them a try. I purchased mine in Sainsbury's this week on offer at £3.39, for this you get 30 pouches, one for each wash. Packaging Easily recognisable in a green pouch which is resealable, ...
...are made by Fairy. The aroma of these ones is lemon, and shows a yellow pouch on the front. The usual instructions are on the front, the amount which is 30, and these are handy as they are a all in one which includes glass protection and metal shine. On the back of the packet you even get step by step in colour of how to insert them into your dishwasher ! You are advised to pop one into your dispenser drawer, failing that pop one into the cutlery ...

Actively burst in your machine

Advantages: 1 small tablet, reseallable sachet
Disadvantages: 1 drop of water the tablet coating dissolves making a mess

When these first came out I was ever so sceptical. I always am! I basically use bog standard generic tablets (for cost) and I will be honest, £4 for a pack was slightly deterring for me when I can get a pack of 30 for £1 Anyway, when they first came out I tried them on the half price trial offer. I was pretty amazed. These had the whole effectiveness of the liquid, in 1 tab for my dishwasher! I was gobsmaked at the difference, not only to the dishes ...
...the extreme of putting one of those nasty really burned on pans in. Now Vie tried most tabs on these things, even top range ones, with really not too much effect. These got about 85 - 90% off with the remaining being wipeable. They smell lovely, especially the pink ones, although I do like the lemon ones best. There’s no scent residue on the plates so no alien scents to go on your food when you serve up next. Yup I was pretty impressed, and keep ...

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Everything

I normally use Finish Quantum which are excellent. having seen Active Bursts advertised by Ainsley Harriot I decided to give them a try. BIG MISTAKE. My machine was refurbished less than a year ago so do not blame it. I loaded my machine with I tablet as stated on the package. When the wash had finished I thought that I had forgotten to turn it on. Cups still had coffee stains on the bottom and sides. The plates still had remnants of gravey, curry ...
...sticking to it and another still had mint sticking to it. The tablet had gone so obviously the wash cycle had been completed. So I tried again. Same result. I tried putting one tablet in the dispenser and one in the cutelry tray. NO BETTER. Tried doing a prewash and then the full wash. NO BETTER. My advice use Finish or evem ASDA's own cheap brand as they are far more superior. FAIRY, I CHALLENGE YOU TO PROVE ME WRONG. ...
