...I see? NEW - Fairy Power Spray. I’m sure I saw an advert for that, stuck on a bottle of Fairy washing-up liquid. They said it would remove anything the ordinary liquid had trouble with.
It’s certainly not cheap at £2.48 for 375 ml so it must be good. I’ll give it a try…

I’ll do exactly what it says on the bottle: Allow hot surfaces to cool down, spray on the Fairy without adding water and leave for 10-30 minutes but no longer.
Ah, that’s Problem Number One. The spray isn’t diffuse enough – it all lands on the same small area instead of spreading widely. I’ll use up quite a lot trying to cover even half the surface ...

...on an t.v. advertisement for Fairy Power Spray caught my attention.
He wielded his green trigger spray bottle of the spray and within seconds all his baked on dirty dishes were transformed to brand new.
I have been told that I should have "gullible" tattoed on my forehead and although I wasn't entirely convinced, I thought Ainsley was a genuine sort of a chap and as he'd given the product such a glowing endorsement, I would go on a mission to find ... ...those who need to know, Fairy is made by Proctor and Gamble and the label proudly displays a crest and the magic words "by appointment to Her Majesty the Queen". Now I may be gullible, but even I can't see the Queen donning her marigolds and blasting her dirty dishes, but anything that's good enough for the Royal Household must be OK for Chez Pat.

THE PROMISE
Fairy Power Spray for tough to clean pans, ovenware and grills (got plenty of those). Easily tackles burnt and baked on food problems (even more of those).
You use it on foodstuffs...grease, fried food, roast, meat, fish, sauces (preferably AFTER they have left the dish). The product can be used on roasting tins, saucepans, casserole dishes, frying pans and woks, hob tops (traditional and ceramic), glass surfaces, grills, ... ...worker!!
WHAT DO I DO?
Firstly, allow hot dishes to cool. This warning I cannot understand. Why would you start to clean your dishes before you've eaten? 1. Turn the nozzle onto the "on" position (yes...) and spray.
2. Leave to act for 10-30 minutes. However, it comes with a severe warning, NOT more than 30 minutes.
3. Rinse with water or put into a dishwasher and wash.
4. Remember very tough stains may need more than 1 application.

...I was recently recommended Fairy Power Spray and when I saw it in the shop today at the very reasonable price of £1.94 (normally £2.44), I thought I'd give it a go.
The Packaging: A green trigger spray bottle featuring a drawn picture of a baby donning boxing gloves (somewhat alarming!).
What it Claims:
"Easily tackles burnt and baked on food problems. Works best on grease, fried food, roasts, meat, fish, sauces." It claims to be suitable for ... ...frying pans & woks, hob tops - ceramic & traditional, glass & ceramic dishes, grills - BBQ, oven and grill pan, and ovens (inside, door, grill) & microwaves.
How to use: Allow hot surfaces to cool first.
1. SPRAY - Turn nozzle to the "ON" position. Do not add water.
2. LEAVE TO ACT - Not more than 30 minutes.
3. RINSE WITH WATER - or put in the dishwasher & wash within 30 mins. Ensure appliances are thoroughly wiped clean.

...all the hallmarks of a Fairy product, made by Procter & Gamble, bright green, "FAIRY" in bright red and a picture of the little fairy baby but this time he is wearing his boxing gloves, this time he means business.
I could not wait to make my homemade lasagne and try the power spray out, so that afternoon I did just that. I do put off making my lasagne because after we have eaten it is such a job to clean the lasagne dish, all that burnt on cheese ... ...clean again. Lots of elbow grease and a couple of those old soap filled cleaning pads and the dish still looked like I hadn't touched it. NIGHTMARE!!

Presentation.
This product comes in a green spray bottle with the word Fairy in bold red letters, with a picture of lovely clean dishes and the Fairy baby wearing his usual nappy and sporting a pair of bright red boxing gloves....scary.
What can it be used on?
I had a pile of things that needed cleaning this high. I used it on my grill pans, the shelves ... ...use for my cottage pies, I even managed to clean my oven.
What does it smell like?
Horrendous is the word that springs to mind. I know your not supposed to sniff the stuff, but you can't help but get a whiff and it takes your breath away.
Did it work?
Yup it sure did. It cleaned my oven, pots, pans etc. etc. It shifts scrambled eggs from pans. The oven needed two 30 minute treatments. On all the things I cleaned there was no elbow grease needed.

...could. I was shocked that Fairy would assume that the only items in the kitchen that get burnt on food were Roasting Tins, Barbecue Grills, Frying Pans & Casserole Dishes, & the oven & hob. Only providing that my Hob didn't have any lettering on. I noticed that in Very Small Print that the product should only be used in well ventilated areas, I found this quite impossible as I live in a Flat which has limited windows. I was hoping to use Fairy Power ... ...advertising is very deceptive and doesn't give all the facts as to exactly how this product can and can't be used, I don't feel it lives up to the image Fairy has tried to create with advertising and previous products. A revolution in dishwashing, Fairy Power spray is a product that claims to “remove burnt on, baked on food greasy food without the need for scrubbing or soaking”. Apparently it is a solvent based product designed to cut through the toughest grease and dirt, the objective being to minimise the time necessary on cleaning up after cooking!
The spray itself comes in a deep green trigger spray bottle, that is easy enough to use. As with most of these ... ...up, neatly added to with lots of facts on Fairy Power Spray, and all the advantages of using the product, of course.

I was casually cleaning the sink as usual but I normally use bleach to clean it but I had no bleach so I used fairy power spray. I have a special form of plastic sink which deals with boiling hot pans etc. so I used fairy power spray ... ..."aww hell il just use fairy power spray because mettle can't melt." Fairy Power Spray - this product has been an absolute God-Send for me - unfortunately, I don't have a dishwasher so have always really struggled to clean pots and pans easily - this product is so easy to use. You simply spray a small amount over the dirty item, wait for 5-10 minutes, rinse over thoroughly with hot water and its then ready to clean as normal - no more dish cloths covered in grease and less effort for you to put in !! I've never eaten curry before but have recently been trying to eat different things, especially hot things. After a couple of drinks in the pub my boyfriend suggested we get a curry and take it back to mine. Seen as though i'd always refused to have curry, even if he cooked I thought I best say yes this time or our few month old relationship could have been cut short. I had Madras, I won't ... ...mat. I'd already found the fairy power spray in the cupboard, it hadn't been used and decided to give it a go.
As I sprayed on the plastic mat (which you aren't supposed to do) I noticed how colour from the curry stain started to lift straight away so I wiped that down and sprayed some more to get as much of as possible. I got most of it off before scrubbing it with a cloth. Although there was still a slight stain most of it had come of within minutes ...

...on my 3rd bottle of Fairy Power Spray. I am amazed at how good it is.
With a family of five to look after my cooker is a state. Inside and outside. When I go to clean the kitchen of an evening I spray the cooker and any baking trays I have used. By the time I have washed up the dishes, it is litrally a wipe down of the cooker instantly no scrubbing needed.
Since finding this product cleaning my cooker is no longer a chore.
