    I love Fairy washing up liquid. I have been buying it for many years. The brand is very reliable and worth the money in my opinion. It has been around for many years and it is one of my favourite washing up liquids. I know when I buy Fairy it is going to clean my dishes very well and leave them nice and clean. It comes in a transparent plastic bottle, the bottle is slim and very easy to hold comfortably in the hands. I can get a good grip of the bottle without dropping it because it isn't bulky.     In the past I would always buy own brand washing up liquids, believing them to provide just as good value as the leading brands. I then tried Fairy and realised that actually although it cost more per bottle it lasted twice as long, actually making it more economical than the lower priced brands. Fairy is actually 50 this year and so you know with that much experience it is a trusted household brand.     It doesn't matter how big or how expensive the boat you are working on, the dishes still have to be washed, particularly if, like us you have a Boss who as soon as lunch is finished says "OK we go now!" This means that the dirty dishes never get the chance to go in the dish washer as it is not a good idea to have the china and glasses bouncing around in the dishwasher as we bound along at 20 knots or more! To get around this the dishes from the first course are (discreetly) put in a bucket and the deckie goes and washes them in the crew's quarters so that myself and the stewardess and ... more

    I am forever changing my brand of washing up liquid and today is no exception as I have gone back to Fairy washing up liquid but this time, a new scent their Green Apple & Lime Blossom scent. I thought it sounded like quite an unusual scent and I have always been a fan of the Fairy brand as they are what I would consider the best.     I wash up on a daily basis and so have tried a fair few brands and variations and despite trying some of the 'cheaper' alternatives, Fairy is one that I always return to and my favourite is this apple one. It costs just under £2 depending on what size you buy, however I do find that it seems to last longer than other brands due to it working up a much better lather with much less of the product. This particualar one is green in colour and as soon as you open the slip top lid you are met by this lovely fresh, apple smell.     I like to use Fairy liquid when washing my pots. I have always found it to be very efficient. Usually I do stick to the original one though but recently I thought I would have a change and so bought this one- Apple. The bottle is a tall and quite fat see-through one. It now is larger than it used to be with the aim of reducing the amount of waste apparently. It has the Fairy logo on the front but is actually quite simple.     If you are a regular reader of my reviews, you will know that the products I purchase tend to be the cheaper brands and I will only purchase the higher quality leading brands if they are on special offer as I like to save pennies where possible. A while ago I found Fairy Washing Up liquid on offer. This is another product that I will only purchase if it is on offer as there are far cheaper washing up liquids on the market, but I will admit I have yet to find one that beats Fairy in terms of quality.     Washing up by hand seems to be nearing extinction. I have found that I am one of the only few out of my friends to wash dishes by hand. Dishwashers have been taking over and many people do not wash dishes by hand. I have never understood the reason for wanting a dishwasher because they are expensive to buy and run and they are not as good as washing by hand. A lot of my friends with dishwashers have large families and they would not be able to cope without a dishwasher but I still think that washing by hand is better.     I always have a bottle of Washing Up Liquid in the house. Although I usually use the Dishwasher, there is the odd time in desperation that I have to wash the odd Dish or Knive. What's all that about? I tell you I never bothered about a Dish Washer until I had one. They don't half make you lazy! Anyway this is the brand I usually buy. I do like Persil also and tend to stick to the brand named ones on this occassion. It's not that the Supermarket ones aren't that good, but I find with this one then a little does go a long way.
