Advantages Addictive, Immersive, Best game this century!
Disadvantages Story is too short! Graphics can become repetitive.

Fallout 3 is an RPG/FPS created by Bethesda Softworks. Your first experience in Fallout is being born. Disadvantages Fairly high computer requirements; small graphics issues

I'll always remember the original Fallout games; in part, because I wasn't really all that old when they came out, and some of it was quite shocking! Mainly, though, for the unmatched level of attention to detail in the game world - everything from the depth of the dialogue to the huge range of choices. So when I hear that the company that made Morrowind and Oblivion is releasing a new one...well, needless to say I've probably spent far too much of the last few days playing this game. Advantages Graphically Stunning, Good storyline/setting
Disadvantages Not compatable with older computers

I didn't play this game when it first came out, I looked at it and though... 'ewww another first person shooter'. It wasn't until one of my friends reccommended it to me that I gave it a second thought. The game has so much more depth than what you can see from the cover or screenshots. The storyline of the game is a favourite of mine, I'm not usually one for games set in the future but this one took me by suprise. The game is set in 2277 on an alternate timeline to our own. Advantages Perk system, so many innovative features, awesome variety of weapons, ton of side-quests/content
Disadvantages Main mission/ storyline ends= game over, Character creation limited, Game can freeze/ crash (rare)

I resisted this game for some time, being somewhat of a purist RPG player (prefer "medevil" rpgs) But boy was I glad when I picked this up. I downloaded the GOTY edition off steam for a cool £19.99 and it's the best £19.99 I have spent in some time. One of the biggest reason's I finally caved in and bought the game was that it was made by Berthesda those wonderful developers responsible for the truly glorious Oblivion (another GOTY). Fallout 3 uses the very same graphics/ physics engine so graphics wise and playwise it is in many ways similar to Oblivion, and that is NO bad thing. Think of it ... more

Advantages Great concept, stunning graphics, amazing atmosphere, good score.
Disadvantages Unrealistic combat, VAT system poorly executed, little variation in graphical themes.

Fallout 1 and 2, both of which were turn-based tactical RPGs, of similar style to the Jagged Alliance and X-com games of around the same era were more than ideal for a format overhaul. However, the way in which this game was put together was less than perfect. A first OR third person shoot-em-up, this game is basically a remake of Fallout 2, as far as the story goes, with vault-dwellers, radiation mutants etc. Not terrible in itself, as the plot is not much short of excellent, with much non-linear gameplay and some truly fantastic atmosphere, not to be sniffed at, these guys know how to make ... more

Advantages Amazing graphics, loading times and atmosphere.

In my opinion this game is one of the best RPG/FPS made last decade, it has easy to follow storyline, amazing graphics, atmospheric music basically all the right ingredients that makes a great game. The playing area in Fallout 3 is simply massive, you can walk around for hours up top looting the goodies out of destroyed buildings or if your feeling brave go exploring underground facilities/subway stations all the while fighting/working with (your choice... sometimes) the inhabitance of post-apocalyptic Washington D,C . An extremely addictive and social-life destroying game! I must say, i hadn't heard of this game until around a week before it came out, then... when i saw the trailers, the pictures, the comments online... I was drawn in.... The game itself has had 2 previous releases, both of which I believe performed up to standard. This new extention has got me jumping around my room with glee! I don't really make long reviews because I get bored of typing but THIS will be an exception. Fallout 3 is the best action game and rpg game that I've ever played (it even beat Gears of War and I'd rate it 94%). In most games nowadays you just have to go there, kill that person, kill the boss and stuff like that. In this game you can choose what you want to do from the start (there is a plot, but it's important only if care about it), for example: you have to break out of Vault 101, but the overseer has the key so you can choose either to kill him and get the key, or persuade him to do it ... more

Disadvantages Nothing I can think of, really.

In my personal opinion, this is the best single-player RPG ever. I just want to say, that if you're looking for a good game, one you want to be able to play for a long time, this is for you. The good thing about this game is, you can choose if you want to be a good, caring friend, or a bad, rude thug. You start at your own birth.
