The ferplast ferret cage is, in my opinion, a good cage for the price. The bars are well spaced (not suitable for smaller animals which would be able to escape) and there are several access 'doors'. The cage sits upon a relatively deep plastic base (easy to lift off) which is easy to clean, although if your ferret likes to squat in a corner when going to the toilet, there can become a rather clumped mess around the top of the plastic and base of ... ...- this problem could probably be solved by increasing the base depth a little more. Increasing the depth would also help to reduce the amount of 'spill' eg. sawdust that the ferret inevitably kicks out onto the floor. The cage is provided with a couple of levels which you can fit at any height within the cage you desire - this gives the ferret extra room to play around in, there is also plenty of space to add other accessories.
