Excellent

Such fun to drive, excellent fuel economy, cheap.

Heavy clutch and steering, generally quite basic.

Remember the television adverts when the Cinquecento launched in 1993? It was seen driving around an Italian city, perhaps Rome, and objects such as lampposts and petrol pumps formed heart shapes as it passed by. That really is the kind of affection this little car inspires in people. I have...

I own a turquoise Fiat Cinquecento SX. The Cinquecento SX was by far the best choice for me both economically and physically. I share the car with my brother who is at least a foot taller than me, and it is surprising how comfortable this nippy little car is. The interior design is pleasing to...

Well I’ll start off my saying that this little car, the fiat Cinquecento is my first car, (awww) I got it 3 months after passing my driving test, in April I was originally looking to buy a micra, as they seem reliable, but after seeing this little beauty sitting on a garage forecourt, I knew I...

“Postman Pat Van!”

Engine struggles, poor build quality

fuel economy

The Cinquecento is an extremely compact front wheel drive hatchback/city car that doesn’t look too dissimilar to a Postman Pat van. There is lots of interior room for its size, steering and the ride quality are good and insurance is low. But build quality is poor and the interior trim soon looks...

Heavy steering, handbrake sticks.

I learned to drive in a bright yellow Fiat Cinquecento Sporting (1.1). Eventually it passed through the family and into my hands, and I adore it. Compared to my friends small cars - 800cc and 1000cc respectively - it's got good acceleration. When you need to overtake safely, or pull away, it does...

I LOVE this car, even though I am lucky enough to be able to drive several this is certainly one of my favourites. Its easy to drive, loads of cabin space (I have 4 children and they all fit in comfortably and belted up correctly as with the new laws). Its very responsive and as mine is the...

Good fuel economy-approx 35 miles for £5

You quite often get tailed by other 'bigger' cars

I have a silver L reg cinq sx. I think it has been really good so far. I have never had ny problems with it and I have had it for over a year. I think that the insurance is very reasonable. I pay £300 a year 3rd party f&t. My cinq has just passed it's MOT last week with no problems. Although this...

Excellent Petrol Consumption

It can not pick up high speed (90mph+)

In December 2001, I wanted to be independent and have my own car. I had a budget of 1800 and a lot of time to hunt for a good bargain. I was looking out and comparing different cars, test driving them. I wanted a car that was not too very old, giving a good consumption and had a reasonably low...

Tardis-like.

Any you could imagine, and then some.

I drove an M-registered version of this car because it was my mothers and consequently the one i learned to drive in. For starters, it looks stupid and feels poorly balanced, especially going around bends. It feels as if it will explode going at any speed over 60 mph and it sounds like a gale is...
