    Advantages Advantages Covers all aspects in detail, coloured maps and screenshots

    When I first played through Final Fantasy VIII I followed this guide closely only to encounter a problem with levelling up (too much powering up I did). Upon starting again I played the game properly and never reverted to the guide, except for at the end. Without it I'd never have finished this game. The cover of this strategy guide features the cover of the game itself, and you'll notice that this is produced by Piggyback not Bradygames, who did the guide for the previous Final Fantasy.     Disadvantages Disadvantages It's quite bulky...well that's not really a disadvanage :)

    To start off, I don't see many of these around anymore, which is kind of sad because there's still millions of thriving fans around. I would bet that if this came back into stock it would still be selling like hotcackes - especially now when people are more aware of FFVIII through the exposure on the internet, forums, fandoms and so on, and like to relish the old classics on the PS1. But you can find most of the things contained there on the internet, but it's just so much more reassuring to have the guide yourself and be able to wonder on the lovely, beautifully illustrated glossy pages ... more
