For the power mop, you will need to buy a box of cleaning pads. These come in a box of 6 for around £2.99. They stick on to the bottom of the mop by a Velcro strip and they do not come off while you are cleaning. They are very simple to attach and remove, and I also find them highly effective at cleaning. Having just had a laminate floor laid and a disgusting mop and bucket at £10 this seemed too good an offer to miss so into my trolley it went.
On arriving home I couldn't wait to see what magic the box held. Could this be an answer to my prayers? Floor cleaning without an effort.
I am unable to give any information about the assembly of the mop as my son spotted the box and put it all together for me. The ... ...DO NOT dispose of Flash Cleaning Mop cleaning pads in the toilet.

I've had my Flash power mop for over a year now, and managed to buy it when it was on a promotional price of £7.99. Today's price in Sainsbury's is £19.98, but I suspect if you shop around it can still be found for under a tenner.
Originally I bought this mop as a couple of my friends had one, and it looked like a much easier way of cleaning my floors quicker and easier than with a mop and bucket.
In the box you will get a basic mop structure which ... ...choice but to get the Flash branded bottle designed specifically for this mop.
The pads also need replacing fairly often and this is where the expense can come into play. At another £2.99 for 6 replacement pads, again you have to buy the Flash branded ones for this mop. I always forget to buy a pack when I'm running out and then find the mop goes unused for a few weeks whilst I get the old mop and bucket out again because I have no other choice.

You press the spray for about 3-4 seconds to clean 1 metre, following the instructions in the guide, it does make a strange ... ...fairly pleasantly scented and dries quickly - no need to rinse. The manufacturer says 1 bottle should cover at least 8 rooms - this is probably about right, I have quite a large tiled area to clean and it does last longer than you would think. The flash power mop, don’t you think that is an impressive name? You read a name like that and think, “Wow! POWER mop, ooohhh” or maybe that’s just me? Let’s cut to the chase and get into the details. *The Mop*
The flash power mop is lightweight and very easy to use. Once put together it stands around 4ft in height and is a patchwork of green and purple. There are 2 handles, one green one on the top of the mop and a second cushioned purple one about ... ...mess and no fuss. Flash boast that apparently each pad will clean up to 3 rooms and this is based on the average room being 15m² with half of that floor space needing to be cleaned (the rest would have furniture etc). I personally would agree with this although it obviously depends on the size of your own rooms and how dirty the floor is. I decided to ditch my ‘traditional-style’ mop and bucket for this product predominantly because:
a) the old back isn’t what it used to be for Tiger; and
b) the Power Mop is aesthetically pleasing, easy to use, lightweight and …well, read on, s’il vous plait… ;)
Picture this: it’s Bank Holiday Sunday and Tiger is mooching along the aisles of her local Homebase with Sher Khan [husband] by her side ... ...easy to put together);

...he came back with the Flash Power mop a few months back.
The Flash power mop consists of three elements, the mop itself, the flash liquid which comes in a bottle and the flash cleaning pads.
You can buy an initial starter pack with all those products in for about £19.99. The mop portion then lasts forever, you can then buy the flash liquid and the pads separately. The pads cost approximately £3 for 6 refills and a 1 litre bottle of liquid costs ... ...furniture easily.
Secondly the Flash liquid comes in a bottle with a cap that you do not have to remove, you just slot it into a holder in the mop and then it is ready to use so you do not get any mess from a leaky bottle. There is a powered spray action button on the mop that spreads the liquid on the floor evenly and widely for you so again very easy and not messy.
Lastly the absorbent cleaning pads are three layers thick so super absorbent and ...

Plus it was on offer from £19.99 don’t to £12.99.so quite a bargain.
Packaging
The box is an oblong shape and really sturdy. The box is purple with the writing Flash in large yellow print, underneath in white writing with a red border is POWER MOP.
It has jet action spray; you don’t have to keep pressing a lever to distribute the cleaning liquid, this product comes ... ...with a white lid, with Flash written on the front, the same as the mop itself. It is a multisurface floor cleaner. With the added smell of lemons. There are full instructions on how to use on each bottle. The box states this dissolves tough dirt and stains on contact. Ready to use! No rinsing or mixing required.
Has a clean fresh smell.

...eye the most was the Flash Power Mop! We paid £12.98 for this, and it comes with the mop itself, 3 Flash Cleaning Pad’s, a bottle of Flash Power Mop Cleaning Solution, 4 Flash Scrubbing Strips and the 4 AA batteries needed to work the pump.
You can use the Flash Power Mop on all of the following surfaces: Wood & Laminate; Marble; Stone; Vinyl & Linoleum and Ceramic Tiles.
Well I assembled the mop as it instructs in the User Guide, basically you ... ...make it stronger. The Flash Power Mop also comes with a two-year guarantee, so if it breaks they will replace the defective part, or entire mop free of charge. There is also a little section on the side on which you attach a Scrubbing Strip, you can turn the head on it’s side so if you come across a particularly tough stain, you can use the scrubber to get deep in it and remove the stain from the floor.

...at various systems like the flash power mop and decided to buy this. The reason being that it had a powered spray, provided by batteries. Having decided to dump my rather old fashioned mop and bucket, which when not used always seemed to turn smelly. All of my downstairs house is either laminate flooring and vinyl in the kithchen and I needed something that was quick and convenient. I bought this at Costco for £14. It is very easy to put togther ... ...is join the mop head to the handle, insert the four batteries, put the cleaning bottle on and the pad on the head. The actual pad is smooth, absorbent and thick.

Quick review of Flash Power Mop
Basically, the Flash Powermop is good. Or rather it would be it it wasn't so darn flimsy. We've just broken our third one and we won't be getting any more. The weakness is halfway down the shaft, Apply too much pressure for too long and it will break and no amount of strengthening with duct tape etc will restore it. I wrote to Flash pointing out that, if the mop was engineered -rather than designed - this weak point wouldn't exist. But no response. I suppose they're looking at replacement sales. meanwhile, we're looking elsewhere.......... ...

I bought this mop to use on laminate and tiled floors. The instructions on assembly are hidden on the box which can then be confused because there is also a leaflet inside. Once I had put it together, I used it on three floors, two laminate and one tiled. It seems good at first, but getting difficult marks out is not easy, you have to add a scrib strip to the side of the mop. Also you can't see where you are spraying very well. The tiled floor was ... ...how I could correct this. It is not good value for money. You cannot store the mop easily, if you turn it the wrong way then all the liquid spills out the only really good thing about this mop is the scent of the cleaning fluid ...

There is an obvious design fault - I have had 6 power mops in 2 years because they all keep breaking underneath the purple sponge handle at the join. Stupid design!!! Luckily there is a 2 year guarantee so my mops have always been replaced but as a new purchaser I would not recommend them! ...

Pretty much like any other mop except that this one has a swivel head to manouveure around furniture and a spray action that dispenses the correct amount of cleaner to wet but not overload your floor . The Pads are very absorbent which makes the floor dry quickly and without stickiness and streaking. To use the scrubbibg strip use your foot to turn the mop head ... ...back and cleaning the floor. Points To Remember
when spraying keep the mop handle straight up so you hear a whoosh sound and remember that it sprays out by a few inches not immediately in front of the actual mop head- i got very confused when i couldnt see the solution where i thought it would go and cleaned the dry floor pointlessly! Rememeber not to use on waxed or unfinished wooden floors! Happy mopping! ...
