Advantages: Most effective nasal spray available Disadvantages: Strength means it is unsuitable for children
...my old treatment. Flixonase is a nasal spray like no other, the magic of it is... that it actually works!! It takes 2 sprays in the morning up each nostril and after some slight pain on inhaling; it then begins to kick in as the "Fluticasone propionate" gets to work. Flixonase has never let me down and on all but the very worst days completely clears up my nose for the duration. If it is a particularly bad day however you do have the option of a ... ...worst sufferer's problems. Flixonase comes in an orange box and is clearly marked and available from all good chemists. It should be shaken gently before use and is one of those medicines that once you've tried you will never go back from!
As an aside: If you do have particularly bad hay fever like I used to, I would recommend going to see your doctor and asking about Fexofenadine (Triludan Forte) as this is what I used to use in combination with ...

Advantages: Can work for some people but not for all hayfever sufferes Disadvantages: expensive
Flixonase is a nasal spray and a mild steroid. Which can do no harm if you take the right amount. I have hayfever all year round and for 13 years have not been able to breath through my nose after having my tonsils alanoids and the lining of my nose out. As i was still quite young i didnt think any thing of it, until i couldn't hear out my left ear and was transfered to hospital. They did loads of tests and kept asking if i had a cold, i told them ... ...been able to breath through my nose, and the response was that as i have hayfever all year though my nose has become swollen. Also because of this it has effectedmy earby water biuld up an the back of the ear drum. The doctor gave me this and i have to take it twice a day, the normal dose is once a day, started taking it and it didnt work but i kept going to give it a chance and afetr 3 days i can breath right. As this isnt a hayfever cure for me ...

Advantages: Relieves all hayfever symptoms quickly. Disadvantages: Expensive
...This year I spotted Flixonase Nasal Spray......
This stuff is amazing and I'm sure once you've tried it you'll never look back. I've only had two headaches this year in comparison to my 1 - 2 a week.
It costs around £6.99 a bottle (which contains about 60 sprays). Expensive when you need to use it every day but lucky for me Boots have been running a 3 for 2 on hayfever products this summer, and I've saved a fortune.
It took about two weeks for ... ...bit.
I started taking Flixonase twice a day, first thing in the morning and last thing at night, but as the summer wore on I found one good spray in the morning was more than sufficient. I always take two sprays in each nostril, but if your symptoms are not to bad, one spray should do.
The stuff comes in a brown bottle with a huge bright orange lid (the picture shown above is the wrong colour, but the bottle itself is a true likeness), and is packed ...

Advantages: Works immediately and is sustainable Disadvantages: Does not help with ichy eyes
I have tried many hayfever remedies over the years but have yet to find one that cures at least two of the symptoms...until now. Generally I would go for tablets such as antihistamines for ease and in my opinion I thought they were more affective than the sprays, wax or powders on the market. However, after having a particularly bad summer of allergies last year, I decided to investigate the best cures on the market and came across Flixonase. I was ... ...thought it was a fair price to at least try it. On the first use I saw immediate affects! Taking it in the middle of a high pollen the day I felt my nose clear, my sinuses relaxed and the lightheadedness disappeared. My throat didn't itch and my ears didn't water. It has event stood the test of the park, which has many trees and bushes full of pollen but prevailed in the conditions. You'll have to reads the label first to make sure you can take it ...

Advantages: easy to use, cost effective dose-for-dose, non drowsy Disadvantages: funny taste at the back of your throat shortly after using, not for under 18s
...slide off. This is where Flixonase wins, it deals with ALL phases, early and late phase symptoms and treats the lot, eyes, nose, throat and that maddening itch deep in your ears that a lot of us get too.
The packaging says not to use it for more than 3 months at a time without medical supervision, so for most hayfever sufferers that is fine. For the few like me who get hit with tree, then grass, then weed pollens speak to your doc, mine is fine ...

Advantages: Total suppression of all symptoms, convenient Disadvantages: Expensive (but so much better than the alternatives)
...the sneezing.
I tried Flixonase last year and my life has never been better!
Simple to use, one or two shots in each nostril every morning (and maybe in the evening on a very bad day) and the result is complete freedom from symptoms: no sneezing, no itchy eyes, no wheezing.
60 doses (the only bottle size) should last about 2 weeks at the typical 2 shot/nostril/day level. Usage will, however, vary from about 7 days / bottle at the maximum dose ... ...made by GlaxoSmithKline and is available without prescription from most pharmacies (Boots, Llyods, etc) at £6.99 (June 2007). You might instantly think this is similar in price per dose to the not as good Beconase (also from GSK), but pay attention to the bottle size! £6.99 pays for a 180 dose bottle of Beconase, hence Flixonse is currently 3 times the price and there isn't currently an option for larger, more economical bottles. Hopefully this will ...
