Advantages: pretty, easy to plant Disadvantages: ours rotted away
The flower tower is sold on the home shopping channel QVC.
It is basically a hanging basket type of thing but in the form of a tower. The tower is made of a plastic material with a mesh inside. you cut through the outer plastic to create a hole and plant through the hole.
The tower looks brilliant once grown. you cant see the plastic and yoiu can ether hang it or it can be freestanding. Watering is easy as the base acts as a water holder.

Advantages: Be the envy of your visitors with this cascade of colour Disadvantages: Can be a chore to water so don`t forget the water retaining gel
I make up one of these every year and, while it can be a chore, the results are well worth the bother. Try one on your patio, or wherever, and you will be the envy of all your visitors.
You need 5 or 6 plant containers, preferably of the same design but not all that important as they won`t be seen after a few weeks, each one should be a couple of sizes smaller than the one before it.
Place the largest in your selected location and place a couple ... ...stability. Fill up to within 3" or so of the rim with compost and be sure to add some water retaing gel and slow release fertilizer. I start with a 24" diameter planter.
Centre the next container on the top pressing it down a couple of inches or so into the top of the compost. Add a couple of handfulls of pebbles, top up with compost, some water retaining gel and slow release fertilizer.
Now you have the idea just carry on till your tower is 5 ...

Pot in the garden.
Yes pots I have many a pot in my garden. My favourite are the terracotta earthenware ones I have. The ones I have I bought quite cheaply from B&Q. I have some I potted up with daffodils look pretty in spring by the front door. If you buy these pots make sure they are frost proof otherwise they will shatter along with your dreams.
I have other more expensive earthenware ones I have been given as presents these are a little more ... ...half a wooden barrel with soil in it. This has an assortment of bulbs and corms in it, some crocus some snowdrops and some anemone’s I also put bedding plants in this when the first bulbs are finished.
These half wooden barrels are readily available from most garden centres.
I also have a couple of square wooden containers, which my dad made for me using old fencing.
I have a large empty paint tin, which I painted put some holes in for drainage ...
