Flymo Lawnrake Compact 3400

My Petrol Flymo lasted well over 20 years withour problem so I bought this to replace it. Exterior is quite stylish but the cut was just average with stripe only really noticeable on the lower settings. The grass box window soon becomes blocked and ineffective. Inside, the design is full of nooks and crannies that quickly fill with cuttings, some are easy to remove, others almost impossible. 14 months of light garden use and today the motor is straining and smoking, a sign of imminent failure just out of warranty. Google search showed this to be a common problem with many users suffering the same fault within 18 months and motor burn out. I wont buy another Flymo less ... more
