You may wonder why I refer to Championship Manager here given that Championship Manager games continue to be released alongside Football Manager, however up until and including Championship Manager 03/04, Sports Interactive were the team behind the Championship Manager series, however after a split between Sports Interactive and Eidos whereby Sports Interactive signed a deal ... ...top 6 flights of English football - this being the Premiership, Championship, League One, League Two, Conference, and Conference North/South. This is a great selection I feel as many of the clubs in the Conference North/South are only semi-professional so to include clubs of such low stature is a bold move, and in including these leagues you therefore have the choice of some 160 English clubs alone to manage. If English football is not your thing ...

Football Manager 2007 - marmite love it or hate it
Football manger game overview
This game quite simply is like marmite; you either love it or you hate it. I love it and am completely obsessed with it. Days, weeks and months have been spent pushing for promotion, staving of relegation or simply attempting to sign the best 16 year old footballer in then world. However, this happens to coincide with my love of football; playing, watching, listening ... ...to say that if football does nothing for you and never has then this game and its ilk will not be for you. The basis of the game is that you take full control of a football team, control the tactics, transfers, scouting, coaching and attempt to succeed. Matches used to be played out in word format and you could only read what was happening within the match. However, in recent years a 2d pitch has been incorporated to allow people to gain a better ...

Advantages: Strongly Revamped, Infinite Replayability Disadvantages: Only for Football Fans, Mostly Silent
Football Manager is the definition of a game whose greatness and addictiveness is difficult to describe. Even if you show it to a friend you'll most likely get a dismissive and/or sarcastic response, to the effect of "So you watch *dots* play football? How sophisticated!"
But give this friend your Football Manager for a weekend and you just might never get it back.
Sports Interactive's award winning series doesn't have you playing as Jose Mourinho, ... ...of the Winter Transfer Window. Football Manager's many followers also offer a plethora of user-created content like league-specific updates and even photos, kits and badges that SI weren't able to license for release.
As silly as it might look, the Game Engine also plays its part to the addiction. A bird's eye view of the field, with players being represented as little dots with feet, combines with lines of radio-like commentary to allow for a pretty ...

-----------------
The game was originally called Championship Manager and it was made by two brothers in the early 90's who then went on to create Sports Interactive. ...game in the best selling Football Manager series returned. Football Manager 2007 is the closest thing you will ever get to managing a real football team. Will hundreds of brand new features, this really is a superb game and should be added to any football nut's collection.
Many of the regular features once again are included within the game. The most impressive of which is the extensive and huge database which graces the game. It is possible to ... ...easier to navigate around the football world. By far the greatest feature, and many Football Manager fans will agree with me, is the faster loading times. Of course, this is not a problem if you have a good computer but mine is a 256 MB ram. On the previous game it would take ages to process fixtures but that is a thing of a past. It is by no means instant but is much improved.
There are so many new features that I would literally be here all week. ...

Advantages: Great fun and really addictive Disadvantages: everything else (relationships, work, personal hygiene etc) takes a back seat
...My most recent acquisition is Football Manager 2007. And although I'm not quite as hooked as I was in the early days of adolescence, it's still amazing how quickly a Sunday afternoon can disappear once I've loaded it up.
It is, in my opinion, the best manager game of all time. The emphasis on bringing players through the youth system and nurturing them before they are ready for regular first team action is better than on previous versions. You can ... ...never witnessed a real life football transfer go through I couldn't be sure of that. Then there is the pressure of getting your star players to sign long term deals before the bigger clubs come poaching.
The in-game menu is better with the 2D screen. In some of the older Championship Manager games there was just text commentary during the game so it was difficult to assess whether your tactics were working. But with the 2D screen this can be clearly ...

Even though you cannot see the game in great detail and the graphics are poor, it is somewhat enchanting watching the game and becomes addictive very quickly indeed. When your team score a last minute penalty or concede a dodgy offside goal, it still feels surprisingly real and mood swings often occur during playing time.
From my own experiences, it is more rewarding, and more difficult, to start ...

Family, work, and social life are just inconveniences once you step into the hot seat of your chosen club and begin the task of steering it towards seasons of success.

...update of the Sega/Sports Interactive football management franchise has arrived with us and first up let me state in no uncertain terms that this is a very good game. Advantages: Team Talk, Easy-to-Use editor Disadvantages: Players get Upset Easily
Football Manager 2007 is still my favourite managerial game on the market. Properly the best managing game in the world by far all the things u could think off to improve 2006 version they have done.
When u put in more than 1 league it doesn't slow your computer down and it only stops between games when YOU have news not everyone else

I like that u can get your players to teach the ... ...player interaction with tings like before kick off, half time and full time team talks. You can ask them to train other players and ask to recommend players and staff
Also there r more options to say to the press to make a player unsettled at his club so it could be easier to by
Scouting players is 10 times better then it use to be u can get between 1 0r 3 games scouting reports and the scout compare the player with the best player in your squad ...
