Ford Fiesta 1.25i 16V

My version is the Ford Fiesta 1998 LX 1.25 - it comes with sunroof and that is it - its the bare minimum - but I love it. The car is very good looking - although it is a very simple looking car - you can tell that it was built to last. To be honest though wherever you look on the roads there is another ford fiesta - so if you want to be individual dont buy this - but for me I dont mind. ...barely noticeable. If you are ever need anything replacing on this car - you will easily find spare parts - they are very cheap too. This is my first car and I'm 19 so the insurance is very high - but for someone with 2 years experience and no points (my uncle) it will only cost about £800 a year. I drove the Ford Fiesta 16v and my first impression was that it was quite a nippy, nimble little runaround. Unfortunately, I then met a bend and tried my hardest to persuade it round it!!! The soft and sloppy suspension, which gives a fairly comfortable ride, did not give the car the road holding capabilities of other small hatchbacks such as the Nissan Micra or the Fiat Panda. Boot space is a bare minimum but is enough to take a dog or a few bags ...
...with your mates!!! Fuel consumption is this little stars selling point. Getting a pretty impressive 35mpg in the town and 45+mpg if you drive sensibly elsewhere, definetly wont make a dent in your wallet. I bought my Ford Fiesta Finesse in July 2004 when the car was exactly 1 year old. I had it until Jan 2006 when i sold it for a decent price of £4500. The car was an all-round good car. The Bad points- I did experience my fair share of problems with it though. What a great little car. I get tired of car snobs knocking fiestas and fords in particular. Fix or repair daily - give me a break. Ours is a 2002 1.25 freestyle which is a bit of a sporty model - white dials, sports seats, rear spoiler, nice 15" alloys, fog lights etc. Finished in a nice burgundy colour. i love my fiesta it is small compact reliable comfortable for a small car. It performs well on long journeys with a good cruising speed very economical, vision is good, seat positioning is good. In fact the only real fault i have is the seat belts, i dont find them at all comfortable seem to cut in my neck.
