Ford really focused on this one

Advantages: Bad design
Disadvantages: Worst design

...************ General comments The car drives very well though the enjoyment is marred by the quality of the finish and dealer support. I will never buy another ford car in my life and would recommend to anyone considering buying one to look elsewhere (i.e not a Ford). ...

Ford Focus LX 1.4

Advantages: Cheap, economical, large number available
Disadvantages: low residual values, common

The Ford Focus was the first car I brought, I wanted a car which is reliable, economical (25% increase in petrol price in the past few month !) , low on insurance cost and enough room for 4 people. After much deliberation I found that 4 different cars fit my categories. (Ford Focus, Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic and VW golf). The Ford Focus is competitively priced in the used car market and I chose it due to high number of cars available. Although ...
...weak). The car does 400+ miles on a full tank. The handling is above average, there are plenty of space in the rear and boot. The ride is comfortable except on motorways, when the noise level increase. Still it's a good second hand car to own (for a few years at least). The insurance for Focus LX 1.4 is also relatively low, I used online insurance company, although Tescos is also quite cheap. ...

...a coffee mug that says FORD FOCUS. In August i went back in and they apologized for the problems i had with my car and told me to pick out another car i would like. I chose a 4 door f150. 2 monthes after driving it, they told me to bring it back because they could not sell my car and could not get me financed. My car has been in the shop for over a month total, and in my contract im entitled to a rental car but i have probloms every time i go to ...

focus 1.4 16v

Advantages: cheap to run low insurance
Disadvantages: very slow very common

I brought my ford focus 1.4 16 valve in 2005, it was Y reg (2001) with 39000 miles on the clock it cost me £5295 with 6 months warenty. I found it very spacious and quite responsive the only problem was it was very slow 0-60 mph took about 14 seconds but I was getting about 44 miles to the gallon so i couldnt complain. the model i purchased was CL so this was the basic but i still had front electric windows and central locking but no remote central ...
...2 hours of leaving the fore court! After about 2 weeks the coil pack of the 4th cylinder blew which involved the aa towing me back to vospers to sort it out but it was ready the same day covered by the warrenty. About 6 months down the line i ran out of petrol and had to get the aa out again and I was told that the focus Engine managment system shuts down the engine when you only have a bit of petrol left to stop the bits at the bottom of the tank ...

No room to focus

Advantages: Nice drive
Disadvantages: Lack of space

I have to drive a Focus as it is the designated company car. I like the look of the Focus and was happy to change from the Escort which I had been driving for almost 10 years. That was until I actually got in it. I'm only 5'6'' but have to have the driver's seat as far back as it will go, leaving absolutely no room at all for anyone to sit comfortably in the rear. I also had to make sure that the baby seat was behind the front passenger seat so that ...
...tried to put the pram in the boot. The parcel shelf was tilted so much in order to get the pram in that my rear vision was nearly obscured. I next went grocery shopping for a large shop and when I tried to shut the boot I heard jars smashing. However, on the plus side - I have never had any problems with the car breaking down or and faults occuring other than the normal wear and tear. (There are too many speed bumps where I live and the shocks get ...

Cheap and Cheerful but no thrills

Advantages: Good handling cheap to maintain
Disadvantages: Poor pick up and only average economy

I bought my silver 2002 focus 2.5 years ago, mainly because of the low milage(less than 1000) it was the basic model no air con or alloys or cd player but tidy inside. There is enough room for 4 adults, (3 in the back would be a bit of a squash), the boot is fairly spacious enough room for a lot of shopping, I have had three sets of golf clubs in at a push. I had previously had an Escort 1.6 Ghia and the difference in performance was instantly apparent. ...
...takes an age to pick up speed and really struggles when it has any kind of load in it. The major dissapointment was the economy, I thought droppping down from the larger Escort to the Focus I would see a marked difference but if anything the Focus was worse. Now with £1 a litre petrol if I put £20 in I get around 170 miles. On the flip side I have hardly spent any money on maintainance, It went through the MOT last week just needing new brake pads ...

I love my Focus

Advantages: Seems to be good value for the money i paid
Disadvantages: I have yet to find any

I bought my Ford Focus 1.4 in December 2002, when i first took a focus for a test drive, it felt really spacious and comfortable, i knew i just had to buy it. It was the first car i looked at and fell in love with it right away, i looked at loads more cars but none impressed me as much as the Focus. Some features.... Driver & Front Passenger Air Bags AM/FM Stereo Cassette with Digital Clock & 4-Speakers (mines has CD player no cassette) Height ...
...Split/Fold-Down Rear Seat Adjustable Head Restraints (back seats and front seats) Rear Window Defroster Dual Manual Remote Operated Mirrors Independent Front Suspension MacPherson Strut and Control Blade SLA Independent Rear Suspension Power Steering I would recommened it to anyone who is thinking on buying a car. I havent had any problems with my Focus yet and touch wood i wont have any soon ! I dont think there is anything i could complain ...

WORTH FOCUSING ON

Advantages: GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY
Disadvantages: POOR CUSTOMER CARE

I bought a Ford Focus 1.4 (import, 5-door hatch-back, petrol} in Sept 2002 and would heartily recommend them to any prospective buyer. The first service was completed recently by my local Ford dealer and i was quite suprised to learn that replacement parts and servicing costs were lower than for cars i had owned previous to this one. All the main features a potential buyer needs to be aware of such as steering, stability at speed, comfort, overall ...
