Quick review of Ford Focus TDCi 1.8 Duratorq TDCi

I have a Ford Focus Zetec Climate 1.8 TDCi - this is exactly the same car as the Ghia, but without a few features such as leather interior and largerg alloy wheels. I have driven the Ghia before though and it is worth the extra money. *The engine is superb - it is nippy (especially past 30mph) with high torque and gets you alot of miles for your money! (I get 40+ mpg on rural/urban trips). *As with the previous Focus, the driving experience is second to none. The chassis handles sharp turns well and the steering has 3 settings (sport, comfort and standard) to adjust for your preference, but being male i have mine to sport ;-) Seats are supportive and easily adjustable too, with the Ghia giving a large choice of interior styles. The main downside to the boot version is that I struggle to reverse (especially up-hill) as my vision is largely impaired by the high boot. The car is very comfortable inside and is roomy. The 1.8 is very nippy and just as fast as the petrol engine version. I would ...
...but I have found the Ford Focus is an excellent car anyway. Someone driving a large van slammed into the side of my last Focus car and the damage outside of the car was extensive but the inside of the car was fully intact as was I and my passenger - full marks to Ford for safety features. Another useful feature is cruise control - very handy for the motorway. ...
