I had actually bought a car from them a few years ago and my husband bought his last car from them, so we were aware of the vast choice in cars available, how reasonably priced they were and knew they were a trustworthy and reputable company. Fords of Winsford won the "Which Car" award for Britain's Best Car Supermarket in 2002, 2004 and 2005. And with good reason ... ...and transit vans. Fords of Winsford do not actually sell brand new cars, but many of the vehicles for sale have a very low mileage and are always in superb condition. They tend to sell a lot of fleet cars which usually have a low mileage and it is for this reason they can afford to sell them at such reasonable prices. Although no new cars are sold here, neither will you find old cars. The cars for sale usually date back no further than five years. ...

Fords of Winsford is well known to many people in Cheshire and the surrounding areas, and the county’s roads are littered with cars bearing the famous ‘F’ emblem in the back window. But I wonder how many people from further afield are aware of this unique treasure trove, hidden away in one of the most unlikely of places.

Advantages: Vast Range of vehicles Disadvantages: Poor trade in values
First impression of FOW is the vast range of vehicles on display.I found no pressure to buy in fact the operation is simple look for a vehicle which suits your needs and pocket then collect the keys for a more detailed inspection both inside and under the bonnet.Still interested ask for a test drive then an FOW person will ask if you wish to consider purchase and advise you on finance warranty etc.
I bought two ex fleet cars for my daughters from ... ...was rectified immediately.
My own experience was different as I wanted to buy a BMW and for them to take my car in part exchange.When I saw their offer I was shocked and they advised me they send most part ex's to auction and the keen prices offered on their cars more than offset the poor trade in offer.
Not convinced I shopped around and got a like for like vehicle at a BMW specialist which was more expensive than FOW but the trade in was much ...

Advantages: Large stock of vehicles. Disadvantages: Poor trade in value and car dealers snapping up the best offers!
...my last two cars from Fords of Winsford and have been satisfied with the service.
The car buying process is simple and the staff are friendly and helpful, although you won't get much for your own vehicle through trade in.
If you are going to buy from Fords of Winsford, sell your own vehicle privately if at all possible, rather than through their px scheme, to increase your buying potential. The savings on new vehicles is very impressive. I saved ...

Advantages: Very Professional Disadvantages: Too much choice
I can see why FOW won the award they are very professional, the cars are laid out in alphabetical rows and the choice is astounding
I especially liked the finance deals - make sure you talk to the sales staff about finance as there are deals to be had.
One thing I did not realise is that they have 1000 cars at their distribution site in the Midlands, so if you cannot find a car on site then they can source it from the depot
