This is the follow-up novel to "Odd Thomas", from worldwide bestselling author, Dean Koontz. Odd Thomas, that unlikely hero, once more stands between us and our worst fears. Odd...
more...never asked to communicate with the dead - they sought him out. As the unofficial goodwill ambassador between our world and theirs, he has a duty to do the right thing. That's the way Odd sees it, and that's why he has already won over hearts on both sides of the great divide. For, though Odd lives in the small desert town of Pico Mundo, he stands between two worlds, and for him the heroic and the harrowing are everyday occurrences. A childhood friend of Odd's has disappeared and the worst is feared. But as Odd applies his unique talents to the task of finding the missing person, he discovers something worse than a dead body. New allies and new enemies gather around Odd, some living and some not. But the enemy he encounters is unspeakably cunning, and every sacrifice is needed to tip the balance between despair and hope as a life-changing revelation rushes towards us. In the battle to come, there can be no innocent bystanders...

Forever Koontz!
Review of Forever Odd - Dean Koontz by wolfatgoogle

Advantages: Fast Paced, gripping story
Disadvantages: None at all

This is the latest offering from Dean Koontz, author of so many brilliant horror/suspense/thriller books. I believe Koontz is hard to categorise, he has his own unique genre. He has written loads of books, my personal favourites being "False Memory", "Seize the Night" and "Lightning". This one is the second book which features Odd, the first being "Odd Thomas". We are also promised a third in the series, "Brother Odd" which is released in November. ... Read review

Another Oddity
Review of Forever Odd - Dean Koontz by markd_uk

Advantages: A great read, gripping, page-turner
Disadvantages: Not as strong as some of Koontz's other novels

"Forever Odd" is the second in what has become a trilogy of novels about Odd Thomas, a 21-year-old man with supernatural talents and an ability to get himself caught up in just about every serious crime that happens in his home town of Pico Mundo. Odd's name could be a nickname given to him by his friends and colleagues because of his unusual abilities; more likely, it's because his dysfunctional parents got it wrong when they registered his birth ... An odd one out for Mr Koontz
Review of Forever Odd - Dean Koontz by britum2000

Advantages: Another Dean Koontz book
Disadvantages: A rather ordinary Dean Koontz book

...fan I was disappointed in Forever Odd. It had none of the shudders and nasty surprises that I have enjoyed in his previous books. It also lacked that sense of wonder and spirituality that Koontz often brings to his stories and characters. In conclusion, a very ordinary 'odd' one out for a well established master of the genre (Despite this, I've already bought his next book!). I bought the paperback edition at Amazon price £5.59 publisher Bantam ISBN ... Read review
