    On Wednesday I had a University Interview, this was my last choice of University and the only Uni that wanted an interview. I went, I got nervous, but the interview itself was perfectly fine. The day after, I got an email saying I had been accepted to this particular University, which meant that each one that I applied to wanted me at their Uni for some strange reason.     Introduction Having just returned from a lovely meal out, once again I am going to venture out of my usual comfort zone of reviewing pet related items and attempt to tell you a bit about the meal in question!     Frankie and Benny's is a New York Italian themed restuarant. It is a chain which currently has 180 restuarants spread across the UK. Frankie and Benny's originally began when Frankie Giuliani was just a little boy. He moved with his family to an all Italian neighbourhood in New York in 1924. Before long Frankies father managed to get a restuarant up and running in which the whole family pitched in and contributed their own favourite recipes, but the best recipes always came in the form of 'Mammas home-style cooking'.     “Happy Birthday to me, On a sunny May Sunday, We were a little hungry, Went to Frankie and Benny(s)”!!! Doesn’t quite scan, I know, but you get the idea!! Yesterday was my 38th birthday and, as we only had the youngest of our brood at home over lunch, we felt safe enough venturing out for a celebratory lunch and opted for Frankie & Benny’s in Tamworth.     Frankie and Bennies F&B's is the well known American-Italian 'restaurant'/diner. There'll be one near you somewhere. They have the usual Italian restaurant chain story. Papa Luigi arriving in the states with just 20 Lira and a goat. Had to cook the goat with a pinch of dried Italian seasoning to feed knife-toting steel workers and on that a reputation was built. Well, not quite, the real story is on the same lines but the steel workers didn't have knives. And it wasn't a goat. It was a squirrel.     This is the worst place to est in Norwich, and one I would highly recommend avoiding. I ended up in this, so called American Italian Restaurant on a last minute whim. I met my girlfriend after work for a few drinks around xmas time. The beer was flowing, and as always, the munchies crept in. Whilst walking home we strolled along the Wensum down Riverside road. The further we walked the hungrier we got. Niether of us could be bothered to cook and as we neard Frankie and Bennys we saw the luminous lights, the 'happy eaters' and the nice looking atmosphere.     A few months ago my daughter and I spent a few days in Blackpool with my friend and her family from Brighton, this meant a few days of eating out! One evening I suggested we went to Frankie And Benny's which none of them had tried befoer so it was nice to introduce them to one of our favourite places to eat. Frankie And Benny's in Blackpool is situated on Festival Park Rigby Road, Blackpool, FY1 5EP which is very close to the South Shore Travelodge and Blackpool F.C. It is a little tricky to get to if you don't know the side roads of Blackpool very well so it's an idea to use the sat nav like ... more

    Although I have visited Frankie and Benny's restaurant on numerous occasions, this review is solely based on the last time I dined there as I will be able to give a much more accurate account of the visit with it being fairly recent.     This is a review of the Frankie and Benny's restaurant situated near to the Metro Centre in Gateshead, where I went to last week with my grandmother. *The chain* Chances are there will be a Frankie and Benny's restaurant somewhere near you, as there are possibly hundreds in the mainland UK, so you are probably already familiar with this chain of restaurants. For those of you who aren't, these are described as 'New York Italian Restaurants', which is a pretty fair description.     Whilst I think it is difficult to judge a whole chain on the performance of one single one, I've just had a pretty successful trip to Frankie and Benny's at Brighton Marina and have been to their Chichester branch too, so I felt inclined to write up my experience. Having read other reviews of this chain, it seems to me that the quality may vary greatly from location to location, so bear this in mind.
