Advantages: It does clear spots, makes the skin condition better, non-staining, non-sticky
Disadvantages: The price, Works mainly on red, inflammed spots.

I started using Freederm gel about 2 months ago, I basically figured, give it a go, after all, I'm 23 and still getting quite a lot of spots! It cost £8.75, which is a lot of money, but you do get a lot for your money. Only a thin layer is needed over the affected areas, so the tube of 25g really does last for a long time. I bought some freederm after seeing an advert on the telly. The ad promised a new cream that banished redness and had a new way of fighting spots. It claims to be ' an anti-inflammatory treatment for mild to moderate acne that is especially suitable for tackling the redness and tenderness of inflamed spots.' I thought I might aswell give it a try, so I headed to my local chemist, I nearly died when they told me it was £8.79 for a 25g tube, but as anyone who has suffered acne will know, if it works it's a small price to pay. ...saw a TV advert for Freederm and thought "it's worth a try I've tried everything else available" so off I went to my local Boots and bought some. I was quite taken aback at the price (about £9), and was a bit sceptical whether it would be worth buying as I have tried so many other products and been majorly disappointed with them. ...Boots and came up with Freederm gel. Whilst I dont have achne either the few problems I do get can turn nasty and have ended up in a trip to the doc's for minor surgery. The first thing you panic at is the price………..£7.99……what on earth. That's about 10p a use. The second thing you notice is how little you get for your money….. a mere 25 grams in a tube. ...thought that I'd try this Freederm after seeing it on the TV. I have been treated with benzoyl peroxide and although I found this helped my spots, it dried my skin out so badly and bleached my bed clothes so I stopped using it. I have tried almost everything else as well I was expecting this new product to be different and effective like the advertising says, however, not only has my acne not improved, but is now one of the worst I have ever experienced. ... ...product I stumbled upon was freederm gel. It clamed to reduce the redness and clear up the spot. Unfortunatly I don't know the price because my mum brought it for me. The product is a gel which you simply put on the affected area. Personally I didn't find this very effective. The gel was quite sticky and took ages to sink into my skin. I saw this acne gel at my local chemist and thought i would give it a try as i had seen an advert for it and had heard about it before from a friend. The packaging is white and blue and is simple but nice and the tube the gel comes in is a plastic white tube, its easy to control how much you squeeze out and you can easily get just a tiny amount out each time unlike with some other tubes where loads comes out and then is wasted. I bought Freederm about 6 weeks ago. It was a pricey £8.90 but like with most other products I put my faith and hope into this one product curing my problem skin...alas the spotty face of disappointment was quickly sniggering back at me in the mirror! Freederm from acne? I don't think so. I had no success with this cream, despite using it for two months every day and following the instructions in full. The positives are that the cream is pleasant to apply and has a nice fresh fragrance. Also, it doesn't bleach. The negatives are the price and the fact that it doesn't work at clearing acne (in my case, it made it worse - despite the continued usage). I'd avoid "freederm" and consider using benzyl peroxide based creams instead, which, from my experience, are both cheaper and more effective.

Advantages: Seems to reduce the appearance of spots overnight
Disadvantages: fairly pricey and maybe not effective for moderate acne or large areas of spots

...is a certain buzz about Freederm around my friendship group and university. I think it seems to be most effective when someone has a few spots to deal with and i have noticed instant results over night with some blemishes as have my friends. however, i think you have to thoughorly clense before using the product. The gell seems to have quite a drying effect and i wouldn't necessarily use it on large areas of my face nor have i used it on a daily basis. ... Read review
