Advantages: Can clear up spots in days, doesn't dry the skin out like some similar products. Disadvantages: Could have a bad reaction, loses it's potency, quite expensive for the amount you recieve.
...the brink of giving up, Freederm appeared on the scene like music to my ears!
No more applying lotions that would dry a spot into a giant scab you would need to cook up a miracle to hide, this product promised a "new approach to acne treatment" so on a particularly bad day my mum went out to buy some on my behalf and back she came 20 minutes later with my purse £8.95 lighter - but hey, if it works money is no object(-ish)!
'''Description''':
A ... ...apply a thin film of Freederm to cover this area.
'''My Experience''':
I honestly believe that much of the effectiveness of this product relies on how it is applied, as in the beginning I was so used to other similar products that I simply "dotted" it on the spot, found it had no effect and abandoned it. Sometime later I gave it another try, this time following the directions to the letter and began applying a thin layer on the area the spots were ...

Freederm is designed to be a treatment for acne. It is supposed to reduce the size of spots in a short period of time, as well as reducing the painful discomfort associated with acne.

I originally found out about freederm on a television advert. I've always been wary about skin care adverts, as the models always tend to have good skin anyway, so you can never quite tell how effective a product will actually be. Then, I saw them advertised in ...

...try it, I bought the Freederm gel in the 25g tube.
The product:
The product is basically a spot treatment gel. It is an anti-inflammatory treatment for mild to moderate acne. Now, I don't have acne but when all else fails I thought I'd give it ago and some friends I know had also reccomended it to me just as there normal 'spot cream'

Freederm has a smallish size range of products which just about covers the bare essentials. They have ... ...covers it!
The price:
Freederm costs around £7.50-£9 per 25 gram tube depending on where you buy it. I find this quite expensive for a spot treatment cream personally as I normally only spend between £3-£5 n spot treatment, but figuring that none of those worked for me so I decided to try one. You might be able to find cheaper if you look on Ebay and Amazon etc, but don't forget you still have to p&p which adds to your total.

Advantages: It does dry out the actual spot... Disadvantages: ...but dried the rest of my skin along with it!
...saw a TV advert for Freederm and was intrigued because the gel contains a unique active ingredient called nicotinamide. This is supposed to have been clinically proven to help get rid of inflamed spots (the ones that are reddish-coloured, usually tender, and sometimes have pus in them). Its available over the counter only and is quite pricy at just under £8 for 25g - those two factors convinced me it must be different and therefore must work! But ... ...and people seemed to have good stuff to say about it, so I decided to go for it - after all, it had to be better than toothpaste (a so called top tip for getting rid of spots...hmmmm!) ** How it works ** It works in a different way to other spot treatments you can buy, because it penetrates the skin and treats the sebaceous glands, basically meaning it targets the process that causes the spots in the first place. It claims not only to target visible ...

Advantages: It does clear spots, makes the skin condition better, non-staining, non-sticky Disadvantages: The price, Works mainly on red, inflammed spots.
I started using Freederm gel about 2 months ago, I basically figured, give it a go, after all, I'm 23 and still getting quite a lot of spots!
It cost £8.75, which is a lot of money, but you do get a lot for your money. Only a thin layer is needed over the affected areas, so the tube of 25g really does last for a long time.

The product claims to be "a treatment for ... ...is where they stick to their promises because it does seem to have an anti-inflammatory effect on the sore, red spots very quickly. But better than that, my whole face seemed much clearer and fresher looking. I noticed at Boots that the label called it "treatment for acne and acne scars". It was the treatment of the scars, which interested me originally. I have to say that at first the gel did seem to be helping with some of the scars, although thinking ...

Advantages: Doesn't irritate skin Disadvantages: Doesn't do anything to help acne
I bought some freederm after seeing an advert on the telly. The ad promised a new cream that banished redness and had a new way of fighting spots. It claims to be ' an anti-inflammatory treatment for mild to moderate acne that is especially suitable for tackling the redness and tenderness of inflamed spots.' The active ingreidient is Nicotinamide 4% and it is avaliable in pharmacies.

After about a week of using the cream , I thought I noticed a slight improvement but then the spots reappeared. The redness was still there also. I used 3 tubes and ...

...or 4 years, and saw Freederm Gel advertised on the tv. I thought I might aswell give it a try, so I headed to my local chemist, I nearly died when they told me it was £8.79 for a 25g tube, but as anyone who has suffered acne will know, if it works it's a small price to pay.
The claims are that it is "for the treatment of mild to moderate inflamed acne spots" and it's active ingredient is:nicotinamide.
I read the instructions fully and started using ... ...mild facial wash, I applied the gel thinly to the problem areas. I was quietly impressed that it did not sting or burn like some of the other treatments can do and it did not make my skin feel tight.

At around £8.95 a tube, Freederm can indeed be quite expensive for some people, but can you really put a price on how you look and even feel. Acne can make you feel un-happy and un-attractive!
I bought the Freederm Lotion which is a facial wash and the Freederm gel which i apply after the wash!
combining these two products from the same company, i think, really helps spead the process up!
Freederm products get rid of spots (mild to modorate acne) ... ...just zapping idividual spots.
Freederm Gel can and will tackle all forms of spots, from small red bulges to huge white mountains on your chin.
This product can be used everywhere on your body-not just face and neck-as some peoplemay experiece acne on their back or chest!
Now and then i get a little white head, for some un-known reason. But the gel and lotion combined can get rid of that over night at times!
What i find neat and helpful is that ...

...saw a TV advert for Freederm and thought "it's worth a try I've tried everything else available" so off I went to my local Boots and bought some. I was quite taken aback at the price (about £9), and was a bit sceptical whether it would be worth buying as I have tried so many other products and been majorly disappointed with them.

I have also found that the tube has lasted me for ages because you only need to use a very small amount on each spot so the fact that it does cost slightly more isn't quite so bad when you know that it isn't going to be gone in a couple of weeks.

...the 'before' person) Freederm achieved NOTHING that is the first time I've ever been able to say that about an acne product. Like all the products I've used I gave it a month trial and with freederm's advert promising results within days i was a little annoyed to find no development at all. I used freederm because i saw it on an advert and it was targetted to my age group, so i felt that like it would definatly work for me, when i bought it i used to use it twice aday but when i put makeup ontop of the gel it would kind of peel? a bit like glue, but of the colour of my concealer/foundation.

Unfortunatly, I started to get spots, so i was advised Freederm., so i thought i'd give it a shot. I tried a lot of other products, most did nothing to improve my skin. ...looking. The product Freederm has been getting promoted on the TV for years now and I though it was worth a shot. It is expensive at £8.95 for a 30ml tube, but it claims to work, so does it? This is meant to stop spots from happening and make them go away. I find this ... ...they seem to have been advertising I thought it would have been a little better results. ...Boots and came up with Freederm gel. Whilst I dont have achne either the few problems I do get can turn nasty and have ended up in a trip to the doc's for minor surgery.
The first thing you panic at is the price………..£7.99……what on earth. That's about 10p a use.
The second thing you notice is how little you get for your money….. a mere 25 grams in a tube. Still, at least it is stamped with a sell by date of a year ahead from now.
I consulted the ... ...use the gel twice a day after the usual cleansing and preparation of the area in question.
This I had done for about a week and can only say that I personally found the gel to be utterly useless.
Now I could put that down to it being a pile of rubbish but I don't think that would be fair. I have seen it on TV and it seems to get some good reviews so I suspect that the issue I had was not what the gel was actually made for.
That said I rushed down ...
