...idea of many worlds sprung from our choices and decisions that we make in life. The simple description of the tree being ingenious and so clear. A lovely read, altough sometimes sad, but none the less, one of his best works. Slightly disappointed at the end with such a quick climax to the story and disposal of the "villian" Would have been nice to get an insight in to the land of bugs!! ...

You can tell wether you are reading a good book after the first few pages and after reading the first page i was hooked.It starts off with a real lovable couple who are having their first baby, and switches between two other stories which all become linked to this baby Barty who grows up to have wonderful powers and despite being blinded when he is three due to cancer has a wonderful outlook on life and some really special powers. ...and a psycho who lives in a complete world of his own perceiving others actions in a totally f***ed up way. There are some really strong charactors: the policeman who comes after the psycho, and Bartys mother (who is known as the pie lady)also Bartys two loveable uncles Jacob and Edom who will bring you some laughs along the way. I read this novel about 1 year ago, the story struck me right away, The way Koontz describes the character's thoughts and feelings was as if you were right there with them.
