    Advantages Advantages Great family fun.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Temper tantrums a strong possibility

Time to start thinking about Christmas presents. If you want to have some variation from all the expensive electronic and console games around and go back to a more traditional game suitable for all the family to play then you can't go wrong with "Frustration". Crumbs, I even remember playing this as a child - yes, I was one once - so it has been around for a considerable length of time and is still proving a popular game today. "Frustration" is made by MB Games, now part of Hasbro International Incorporated, which has an excellent reputation and is a long established and trusted manufacturer ... more

PROLOGUE; I love games, the classics are the best. I go through little phases in which a particular game is my favourite of the moment; the game is inflicted upon my husband and played until exhaustion or until a new game captures my interest. As it stands the game of the moment is frustration … = FRUSTRATION (MB games): Frustration is a game that fulfils its name … ‘frustration by name; frustrating by nature’. A Timeless game that takes little time to master and provides ample fun! If you are hugely competitive, like me, then the game can be more than frustrating, it can be downright annoying ... more

As a child I absolutely loved playing board games. In fact whenever I get the chance nowadays I'll happily take part. I love the idea of the competition without actually losing out to anything serious at the end! I did have my favourite board games when I was younger, and alongside ones including Puppy Racers, Monopoly and Buckeroo, you have Frustration. Frustration is a game which is still on the go and loved by little children and families everywhere. The concept of the game is easy. Simply look at the number on the dice, move that amount of space on the board and get to the finish line ... more

Advantages Advantages Simple game, good fun, good value

Disadvantages Disadvantages Easy to lose the coloured counters

I remember playing Frustration when I was a child (not toooo many years ago!) so when I saw it for sale recently my memories of the game came flooding back, and I wanted to play it with my own children – admittedly more for the sake of reminiscing but I hoped they would enjoy it too – and they did. On opening the game I was pleasantly surprised to find that the appearance of the game hardly looked to have changed at all. It consists of a circular board made up of small plastic holders for the players counters to rest in. There are four ‘bases’, yellow, red, blue and green with a line from each ... more

Advantages Advantages Kids And Adults Of All Ages Can Play With Ease

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Nothing

FRUSTRATION In my opinion this game is brilliantly addictive and no matter how many times you get "Frustrated" you cannot help but want to play it again. There are many copies of this game been made as cheaper versions which are available to buy almost anywhere, but the one that I am focusing on is the original. Consisting of a plastic square(ish) board and 16 coloured counters, there is no difficulty in setting the game up. The Game Board is in the shape of a square with cut-off corners. In each "corner" there are 4 raised circles which are your home circles where the various teams coloured ... more

Advantages Advantages easy to play - helps introduce dice in a fun way to youngsters

Disadvantages Disadvantages can be a bit repetative and take ages if there are a 4 players

Well here goes with another review of a game which you may find useful as it's coming up to Christmas. I've chosen to write about this classic game for a number of reasons - the main ones being that it is so easy to play and is great for keeping young children quiet for a while after the Christmas dinner has been eaten, although the popping can get annoying after a while. This game is really just a different version of the old favourite Ludo where you had to get 4 counters out from their starting position, round the board and home to one of 4 spaces. Unlike ludo you don't have to throw the ... more

    Advantages Advantages Easy to play

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the most exciting game around

Frustration is a really easy game to play and is one of my niece favourite games at the moment, it also helps young children with their counting when they are first starting out and it does involve a little strategy but not much. My daughter is a bit too young to play but she sort of gets involved and in particular she likes to press down to make the dice jump around and effectively roll. I would say that it is suitable for kids over the age of five to play and the games do not usually take too long to complete. Two to four players can play the game and each player has four counters, the ... more

Advantages Advantages Makes you determined to win, makes you think, fun game

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Frustration!

This game has a title which suits the nature of your feelings whilst playing it! It absorbs you straight away as you bid to set out and win the game. The aim of the game is to get all your chosen coloured counters "home" , by avoiding being "eaten" by your opponents colour. The frustration of it is that being eaten happens often, and you have to start all over again with that piece. To start the game, by getting the pieces out of their original "home", you must press this dome shaped cover over the dice in the middle of the board, and try and get a "6". If you succeed in doing this, then you ... more
